Celem niniejszego artykułu jest przybliżenie specyfiki ewangelickiego (luterańskiego) spojrzenia na przysięgę małżeńską (ślubowanie). Tekst ten składa się z trzech zasadniczych części. Wpierw omówiono znaczenie samej przysięgi w teologii ewangelickiej. dalej skupiono się na treści ślubowania małżeńskiego podczas ewangelickiej liturgii zaślubin. W końcu zaś próbowano odpowiedzieć na pytanie o teologiczne i etyczne implikacje tego przyrzeczenia (ślubowania) w życiu małżeńskim i rodzinnym ewangelików.
