Clinical guidelines are a potential tool for improving the effectiveness and quality of healthcare, decreasing variability in clinical practice, and preventing adverse events. In the purview of Law no. 24/2017, adherence to national guidelines can lead to a reduction in medical malpractice claims and the practice of so-called "defensive medicine". Although paddle is the second most practiced sport in Spain, the scientific knowledge about the players' work-load is still very low. The serve is a critical situation because the team has the opportunity to start the point attacking by approaching the net straight after the serve. The authors of the present article are investigating the influence of the data generation in the university courses of informatics and statistics (UCIS) on the acquisition of both the UCIS and other study courses in the health care specialities. First of all, the authors inquired students in order to find out their attitude to the UCIS. The inquiry results show evidence that an important role in the acquisition of UCIS has the work/study material – data.
