Journal Article; UNLABELLED Carotid-cavernous fistulas are an uncommon diseases characterized by abnormal communications between arteries and veins located in the cavernous sinus. According with Barrow´s classification they could be divided in two groups: direct and indirect. The typical symptoms showed by theses pathologies are: pulsating exophthalmos and orbital blow. Color constancy in dermatoscopy with smartphone

The recent spread of cheap dermatoscopes for smartphones can empower patients to acquire images of skin lesions on their own and send them to dermatologists. Since images are acquired by different smartphone cameras under unique illumination conditions, the variability in colors is expected. Therefore, the mobile dermatoscopic systems should be calibrated in order to ensure the color constancy in skin images. ANP and vasopressin -presence in the ciliary body of eye in the pig, (Sus domesticus)

The aqueous humor is produced in the ciliary body so, in this study we investigate on the ANP presence and vasopressin in the ciliary body of the pig eye since these peptide are involved in the homeostasis of the body fluids. The results show ANP-presence in the epithelial cells and in the endothelial cells of the blood vessels and VP-presence in the epithelial cells, in the endothelium of canal of Schelmm and in the muscle cells of the blood vessels. These peptides might regulate the synthesis and the composition of the aqueous humor and regulate the hydrodynamic flow and haemodynamic flow of the blood.

Les recherches presentees mettent en evidence des relations entre anomalies comportementales et cognitives et dysfonctionnements cerebraux sous-jacents a partir de methodes d'exploration electrophysiologique non invasives (electroencephalogramme, potentiels evoques auditifs). Trois types de troubles sont etudies : les troubles du sommeil, l'intolerance au changement et l'exploration visuelle atypique des visages humains. La complementarite des approches cliniques et neurophysiologiques est cruciale aux etapes du diagnostic fonctionnel, de l'intervention therapeutique et educative.
Frontal sinus osteoma and palpebral abscess: Case report

Osteomas of the paranasal sinuses are slow-growing, benign tumours most frequently found in the frontal sinus with an incidence that varies from 47% to 80% of the cases; there are often no symptoms and they are diagnosed by chance during an x-ray examination. The symptoms are usually headaches and those secondary to ocular or neurological complications. The therapy to be preferred is surgery. The authors describe a case of frontal osteoma complicated by frontal sinusitis and palpebral abscess.
