A graft copolymer derivative of hyaluronic acid bearing pendant amino and short polymethacrylate portions (HA-EDA-BMP-MANa) has been employed for the production of a pH sensible vancomycin releasing hydrogel and studied in vitro to test its potential anti adhesive property against Staphylococcus aureus colonization. Staphylococcus epidermidis ir vieni no biežākajiem nozokomiālo infekciju un bakterēmijas ierosinātājiem. S.epidermidis bieži ir meticilīnrezistenti un tas nozīmē, ka baktērijas ir rezistentas pret klasiskajām β – laktāmu antibakteriālajām vielām. Meticilīnrezistenci nosaka mecA gēns , kurš ir integrēts baktērijas DNS. Baktēriju rezistence būtiski ietekmē arī infekciju terapijas izvēli. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt Staphylococcus epidermidis rezistenci pret antibakteriālajiem preparātiem no klīniskajiem materiāliem izolētajos paraugos. Any action to reduce feeding costs without negatively affecting fish production parameters and flesh quality would improve profitability of farming. The substances analyzed mainly at the “Chemical Investigation Laboratory” of the Regional Cabinet of Palermo, in the period from 2013 to 2018, are heroin and cocaine. For analytical techniques, mass spectrometry techniques associated with gas chromatography were used. In recent years energy drinks consumption has increased, due to their ability to improve physical and cognitive performance. Unfortunately, because of poor or incorrect information, people are not always aware of the harmful consequences of these drinks such as obesity, diabetes, hypertension, tachycardia until death. Therefore, we conducted a statistical survey in Palermo area, submitting a paper questionnaire to 1003 people. DRUDIT: Web-based DRUgs DIscovery Tools to design small molecules as modulators of biological targets

Abstract Motivation New in silico tools to predict biological affinities for input structures are presented. The tools are implemented in the DRUDIT (DRUgs DIscovery Tools) web service. The DRUDIT biological finder module is based on molecular descriptors that are calculated by the MOLDESTO (MOLecular DEScriptors TOol) software module developed by the same authors, which is able to calculate more than one thousand molecular descriptors. At this stage, DRUDIT includes 250 biological targets, but new external targets can be added. This feature extends the application scope of DRUDIT to several fields.
