Molecule-like photodynamics of Au102(pMBA)44 nanocluster.

Photophysical properties of a water-soluble cluster Au102(pMBA)44 (pMBA = para-mercaptobenzoic acid) are studied by ultrafast time-resolved mid-IR spectroscopy and density functional theory calculations in order to distinguish between molecular and metallic behavior. In the mid-IR transient absorption studies, visible or near-infrared light is used to electronically excite the sample, and the subsequent relaxation is monitored by studying the transient absorption of a vibrational mode in the ligands. Bakalaura darba tēma ir aviokatastrofu atveidojuma ētiskie aspekti ziņu portālu apollo.lv, delfi.lv un tvnet.lv publikāciju vizuālajos materiālos. Darba galvenais mērķis ir noskaidrot kā pētījumā apskatīto ziņu portālu publikāciju titulbildēs atveidotas traģiskākās 2014. gadā notikušās aviokatastrofas un kādu nozīmi tās piedēvē aviokatastrofām. Datu ieguvei un analīzei pielietota semiotiskā analīze, daļēji strukturētas intervijas un kvalitatīvā kontentanalīze. Darba teorētiskajā daļā apskatītas teorijas par ziņu komercializāciju, fotožurnālistikas ētiku, interneta žurnālistiku un nāves un katastrofu atveidošanu medijos. Darba empīriskajā daļā analizētas publikāciju titulbildes un intervijas.

Background: Fish oil is one of the most common lipidic substances that is consumed as a dietary supplement. The high omega-3 fatty acid content in fish oil is responsible for its numerous health benefits. Fish species such as mackerel, herring, tuna, and salmon are particularly rich in these lipids, which contain two essential omega-3 fatty acids, known as eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). Ultrafast solvent-assisted level crossing in 1-Naphthol

The nonadiabatic inversion dynamics of the energetic order of the electronic excited states of the photoacid 1-naphthol have been revealed by ultrafast spectroscopy on a femtosecond timescale (see picture; IC=internal conversion). The energetic order of the excited states La and Lb of 1-naphthol is reversed in 60 fs in polar dimethyl sulfoxide solvent.

The article traces the evolution of the publishing practice in the field of translations undertaken by Alberto Mondadori after the Second World War. Through some letters of the publisher to his collaborators, the analysis highlights the nature of his choices, which were often motivated not only by the desire to publish complete works, but also by personal and political reasons, such as the desire of self‑affirmation, to introduce himself as a “new publisher in a new era”, in clear antithesis with the past.
