Pulmonary Agenesis and Associated Pulmonary Hypertension: A Case Report and Review on Variability, Therapy, and Outcome

Abstract Pulmonary agenesis is a rare congenital disorder with large variability in presentation and prognosis. We describe a full-term infant born with right-sided pulmonary agenesis who underwent thoracoscopic placement of a tissue expander. He ultimately died of pulmonary hypertension. Immunohistology showed intimal hyperplasia without the loss of endothelial caveolin-1 expression. A literature review revealed that while some of these patients have favorable outcome, many succumb despite therapy.

Methods Fungiscope” - A Global Rare Fungal Infection Registry is a university-based case registry that collects data of patients with rare IFD, using a web-based electronic case form at www.fungiscope.net. Background Management of small aneurysms often poses a therapeutic dilemma and surgical treatment or coiling can be considered as therapeutic choices. In the present study, we reviewed our series of ruptured small cerebral aneurysm treated surgically. Methods A total of 53 consecutive patients with ruptured small aneurysm were surgically treated between January 2008 and July 2014. Data were retrospectively collected. Procedure-related death and complications were systematically reviewed. Clinical outcomes were assessed using the Modified Ranking Scale. "The rules of the game": how to favor entrepreneurship and creativity in a non-capitalistic economy

The economy, nowadays, is leading us toward a huge crisis. An environmental crisis, a new financial crisis and finally a war crisis. The aim of this paper is to propose a way to change our economy to favor a better perspective of the future. In order to promote this new economy, two suggestions are proposed: promote entrepreneurship and promote creativity within an economy that would aim at getting full employment and at avoiding any unethical action towards the environment. Several propositions are made about education, culture and economy to obtain sustainable changes in the economic landscape and in order to promote entrepreneurship in this fictive economy.

Darba mērķis ir izpētīt favorītisma ietekmi Krievijas valdnieču favorītisma politikā no 1682. līdz 1796. gadam. 17.-18. gadsimtā izveidojās jauns monarhu valdīšanas fenomens-favorītisms. Favorītisms ir valsts pārvaldes forma, kurā atspoguļojas monarha labvēlīgai attieksmei pret favorītu, kā rezultāta favorīta loma pieauga Krievijas valdnieču valsts politiskajās norisēs 17.-18. gadsimtā. Nav zināma vienota favorītisma definējuma definīcija, kas ierobežo noteikta monarha līdzgaitnieka dēvēšanu par favorītu. Svarīgi ir izzināt favorītisma svarīgākās iezīmes, kas atspoguļo monarha labvēlīgo attieksmi, kas ir saistīta ar favorīta ietekmi politiskās norisēs.

Il existe sans doute mille bonnes raisons d'être hostile à Parcoursup et à la réforme du baccalauréat, comme il existe de solides raisons de protester contre les conditions de travail des professeurs, des enseignants-chercheurs et des étudiants… Le propos de ce texte n'est pas de participer aux débats sur le bien-fondé des réformes ; il n'est ni de les défendre ni de les contester, mais d'interroger les cadres de la critique de la sélection que ces réformes sont censées …

Pan Jezus, Król Miłosierdzia, udzielił swojej sekretarce licznych i spektakularnych nadprzyrodzonych darów. Do niedawna głównym źródłem informacji o doświadczeniach mistycznych św. siostry Faustyny Kowalskiej był jej Dzienniczek. W 2013 roku wydano drukiem Wspomnienia o św. Siostrze Faustynie Kowalskiej. W książce tej znajdujemy wypowiedzi kapłanów, sióstr zakonnych i świeckich, którzy osobiście znali Siostrę i byli świadkami łask nadzwyczajnych udzielonych jej przez Boga, a cud kolbiański wydaje się nie mieć sobie równych.
