The framework of embodied cognition has challenged the modular view of a language-cognition divide by suggesting that meaning-retrieval critically involves the sensory-motor system. Despite extensive research into the neural mechanisms underlying language-motor coupling, it remains unclear how the motor system might be differentially engaged by different levels of linguistic abstraction and language proficiency. Longitudinal Gait Analysis of a Transfemoral Amputee Patient: Single-Case Report from Socket-Type to Osseointegrated Prosthesis

The aim of the present case report was to provide a longitudinal functional assessment of a patient with transfemoral amputation from the preoperative status with socket-type prosthesis to one year after the osseointegration surgery. A 44 years-old male patient was scheduled for osseointegration surgery 17 years after transfemoral amputation. Gait analysis was performed through 15 wearable inertial sensors (MTw Awinda, Xsens) before surgery (patient wearing his standard socket-type prosthesis) and at 3-, 6-, and 12-month follow-ups after osseointegration. The collection of Šehabović’s stories Priće - żeński rod, mnoźina is an important voice in the discussion on the situation of women in post-war Bośnia. An artistically interesting idea of a juxtaposition of female voices, accompanied by representatives of otherdiscriminated groups in society (gays), allowed the Bosnian author to face current and socialiy important problems. It is a faithful literaturę with a deeply anti-war language. Narrative Solutions, the type of heroes and the way of their presentation brings Śejla Śehabović’s prose closer to women’s writing (żeńsko pismo), and far away from the heroic paradigm dominating in Bosnia-Herzegovinan’s war discourse.
