RESUMEN: El Segundo Congreso Internacional de Escritores para la Defensa de la Cultura celebrado en Valencia durante la Guerra Civil Española desvió la mirada mundial hacia la ciudad. El acontecimiento atrajo a un gran número de intelectuales y corresponsales extranjeros, entre ellos los fotoperiodistas Gerda Taro y Robert Capa, que documentaron juntos el acto de inauguración el día 4 de julio de 1937. Valdemārs Murevskis (1911-1989) no 1946.g. strādāja rūpnīcā „Radiotehnika” (pazīstama arī kā RRR, A.S. Popova Rīgas radiorūpnīca) – sākumā par vecāko meistaru virpotavas-frēzēšanas cehā, vēlāk – par vecāko inženieri un par Akustikas sektora priekšnieku rūpnīcas Centrālajā laboratorijā. Atrisinājis daudzus sarežģītus tehnoloģiskus uzdevumus, saņēmis vairākas patentapliecības. V. Murevskim piešķirts Goda radista (1955) un Latvijas PSR Nopelniem bagātā zinātnes un tehnikas darbinieka goda nosaukums (1964).

Il lavoro condotto ha affrontato le problematiche connesse con le fasi di acquisizione e elaborazione dei dati ottenuti da SAPR con la finalità di dimostrare il grande potenziale di questi sistemi per la fotogrammetria aerea di prossimità. Il lavoro ha previsto lo studio delle principali problematiche attraverso prove sperimentali condotte durante le fasi del rilievo del sito archeologico di Eraclea Minoa (Agrigento). Several studies have shown that migratory birds play an important role in the ecology, circulation and dissemination of pathogenic organisms. In October 2006, a health status evaluation was performed on a large population of migratory birds passing through the territory of Ustica (Italy), an island located on the migration route of many species of birds to Africa, and various laboratory tests were conducted. Abstract Sulfation is a common final step in the biotransformation of xenobiotics and is traditionally associated with inactivation. However, the sulfate group is electron-withdrawing and may be cleaved off heterolytically in some molecules leading to electrophilic cations which may form adducts with DNA and other important cellular structures. Since endogenous sulfotransferases do not appear to be expressed in indicator cells of standard mutagenicity tests, rat and human sulfotransferases have been stably expressed in his−Salmonella typhimurium strain TA1538 and Chinese hamster V79 cells. Various human sulfotransferases (hP-PST, hM-PST, hHST) and rat sulfotransferases (rPST-IV, rHSTa) have already been expressed in Ames' Salmonella strains (in particular in TA1538). Now a further strain, TA1538-hEST, which expresses the human estrogen sulfotransferase (hEST), has been constructed. This strain activated the primary benzylic alcohol 1-hydroxymethylpyrene (1-HMP) and the secondary benzylic alcohol 1-hydroxyethylpyrene (1-HEP) to mutagens. Human sulfotransferases hEST and hHST both activated 1-HEP, but they differed substantially in their enantioselectivity for this compound.
