Validation of a high-performance chromatographic method for determination of cefotaxime in biological samples

An analytical method for detecting and quantifying cefotaxime in plasma and several tissues is described. The method was developed and validated using plasma and tissues of rats. The samples were analyzed by reversed phase liquid chromatography (HPLC) with UV detection (254 nm). Calibration graphs showed a linear correlation (r > 0.999) over the concentration ranges of 0.5–200 μg/mL and 1.25–25 μg/g for plasma and tissues, respectively. The recovery of cefotaxime from plasma standards prepared at the concentrations of 25 μg/mL and 100 μg/mL was 98.5 ± 3.5% and 101.8 ± 2.2%, respectively. Isolation and concentration of organophosphorus pesticides from water using a c18 reversed phase

Abstract A simple, rapid and effective method for the extraction and enrichment of organophosphorus pesticides based on the use of Sep-Pak C 18 cartridges was studied as alternative method to those based on extraction with organic solvents. The influence of the elution solvent, pH, salinity and volume of water filtered was studied for ten organophosphorus pesticides. The pesticides were determined by gas chromatography with a BP-1 capillary column and a thermionic detector. Recoveries at the 100 and 200 ng/1 spiking levels were greater than 85%, except for disulfoton.
Georreferenciación GPS/INS de imágenes aéreas adquiridas con escáneres rotacionales: ejemplo práctico y resultados

Con la reciente introducción en el mercado de escáneres aerotransportados, la utilización de sistemas integrados GPS/INS es fundamental y redunda en la adquisición de imágenes y en la generación de productos digitales muy competitivos, por ejemplo ortoimágenes. En este artículo se han expuesto las claves de la georreferenciación de imágenes lineales obtenidas con escáneres rotacionales y orientadas a partir de procedimientos mixtos. Los resultados conseguidos muestran que los nuevos sensores y las nuevas tecnologías aerotransportadas existentes son hoy en día operativas para fines cartográficos.

[ES] El artículo presenta un análisis de la evolución de la línea de costa entre Alcossebre y Orpesa, a partir de fotografías aéreas y ortofotografías, entre 1956 y 2015. La digitialización de 12 líneas de costa ha permitido calcular los cambios netos y máximos, así como la tasa de cambio entre los diferentes años. Los resultados muestran una costa recesiva, con una gran variabilidad espacio-temporal. Conviven sectores con crecimiento sostenido provocado por la acción antrópica (deriva arriba de los espigones y regeneraciones de playa) o causas naturales (prominencias costeras), con otros claramente erosivos (deriva abajo de espigones). [EN] This paper presents the generation of encryption keys using the local oscillating properties of the partial sums of Weierstrass-Mandelbrot fractal function. In this way, the security key can be replicated if the parameters used to obtain it are known. Therefore, these parameters can be sent instead of sending the key. This procedure reduces the amount of information to be sent and prevents possible interception of the key. Moreover, the key can not be affected by data loss or pollution.
