Over forty years, in support of the actor-network approach, it traces the conditions of its emergence, transformation and dissemination to local, national and transnational levels, and through various professional disciplines. The first purpuse of this investigation was to study the effects of sex and grade level on secondary students’ beliefs about epistemology and problem solving. The second purpuse was to analyze the contribution of both belief systems, grade level, and sex to problem solving achievement. One hundred and forty-four High School students, 9th and 11th grade students, took part in the study. Two questionnaires (Schommer and StageKloosterman’s questionnaires) and a problem solving test (two word problems of the PISA tests) were administered to these students. Abstract This study is organized in two parts. We conduct a general analysis of the use of qualitative comparative analysis (QCA), and a bibliometric study of the use of QCA to analyze the specificities of the research publications that apply this methodology. Our results show the differences in quantitative terms of the three variants of this methodology: fsQCA, csQCA, and mvQCA.
Differential constraints for iteratively generated curves

Roughness is a complex concept, that is multiscale, and based on the study of the local behavior of a curve or a surface in a given neighborhood. A large number of conventional statistical parameters are currently available to attempt to appreciate this concept in the different application areas that make use of it. But it is often difficult, for a given application domain or a special need, to know precisely which parameter(s) connect(s) the topography of a surface to the physical phenomena that it undergoes. Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot iracionālo pārliecību, darba pašefektivitātes un uztvertā stresa saistību organizāciju vidē. Veicot regresijas un korelāciju analīzi, tika apskatīta darba pašefektivitātes un uztvertā stresa skalu saistība ar iracionalitātes skalām. Pētījumā piedalījās 402 respondenti (319 sievietes un 83 vīrieši), vidējais vecums izlasē bija 28,09 gadi (SD=10,29). Dati tika ievākti interneta vidē, uzrunājot Latvijas izglītības iestāžu studiju metodiķes un lietvedes, kā arī, publicējot aptaujas tiešsaistes adresei interneta sociālajos tīklos.
