Darbā apkopota informācija par poliprenolu liposomālā uztura bagātinātāja “SuperCell” lietošanas ietekmi uz maratonu un pusmaratonu skrējējiem - amatieriem. Lai izpētītu poliprenolu efektivitāti fiziskās slodzes laikā, tika pētīti divu maratona skrējēju grupu asins bioķīmiskie parametri. Pētījuma dalībnieki bija 22 vīriešu dzimuma sportisti vecumā no 25 līdz 41 gadam, kuri tika sadalīti kontroles grupā (nelietoja poliprenolus) un produktu grupā - lietoja 30 mg poliprenolu liposomu mīkstā želatīna kapsulās 3 reizes dienā 4 ± 1 dienas pirms skrējiena. Pētījuma rezultāti parādīja, ka produktu grupai statistiski nozīmigi (p<0,05) tika izmainīti eritrocītu, hemoglobīna, limfocītu un laktāta radī…

Poliprenoli (PP) uzrāda antibakteriālu, pretiekaisuma iedarbību, aknu šūnu protektējošu efektu, mazina muskuļu vājumu un iedarbojas uz centrālo nervu sistēmu (Zhang, 2015). Darba mērķis bija noskaidrot egļu skuju PP ietekmi uz kortizola līmeni un asins bioķīmiskajiem marķieriem. Rezultāti liecina, ka vienas nedēļas PP lietošana (60mg/dienā) ir droša un samazina kortizola koncentrāciju, kā arī spēj ietekmē noteiktus asins bioķīmiskos marķierus asinīs, salīdzinot ar kontroles grupu, nepārsniedzot noteiktās normas robežas.

Latvijā ir augsta saslimstība ar sirds un asinsvadu slimībām un mirstība no tām (55%). Šo slimību ārstēšanā tiek izmantoti statīni jeb HMG CoA reduktāzes inhibitori. Darbojoties kā HMG CoA reduktāzes inhibitori, statīni nobloķē mevalonskābes sintēzi un visu no tās bioķīmiski atvasināto savienojumu rašanos, tai skaitā Q10, poliprenolu un doliholu sintēzi, kas varētu ietekmēt blaknes. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt, kāda tipa doliholi atrodas žurku muskuļos un aknās, izmērīt to līmeņus un noskaidrot A/s Biolat ražotā poliprenolu preperāta sastāvu ar lidojuma laika (TOF) metodi un hromatogrāfiju. The dissertation deals with the institutionalisation of proximity in agri-food markets and the place occupied in this process by non-economic intermediaries (employees of associations, researchers, members of staff from the ministry of Agriculture, advisers of the chambers of agriculture). The advances of short interfering RNA (siRNA)-mediated therapy provide a powerful option for the treatment of many diseases, including cancer, by silencing the expression of targeted genes involved in the progression of the pathology. On this regard, a new pH-responsive polycation derived from inulin, Inulin-g-imidazole-g-diethylenetriamine (INU-IMI-DETA), was designed and employed to produce INU-IMI-DETA/siRNA "Inulin COmplex Nanoaggregates" (ICONs). Hyaluronic acid (HA) forms pericellular coats in many cell types that are involved in the early stages of cell adhesion by interacting with the CD44 receptor. Based on the largely recognized overexpression of the CD44 receptor in tumor tissues, a polybenzofulvene molecular brush has been enveloped into hyaluronan shells to obtain a tri-component polymer brush (TCPB) composed of intrinsically fluorescent backbones bearing nona(ethylene glycol) arms terminated with low molecular weight HA macromolecules. The increase in comorbidities due to an aging population determines a marked increase in the use of drugs (polypharmacy), which in turn carries a high risk of drug-drug interactions. This Paper will analyze the relationship between exposure to adverse drug interactions, and hospitalization and mortality in a cohort of elderly patients, living in a local Health Unit in Palermo, Italy. These patients were exposed to drugs whose concurrent use is contraindicated during the period 1.1.2014 - 30.12.2014.
