This article discusses Aesthetic dress as conceived by Walter Pater. Indeed in “Leonardo Da Vinci” (1869), the unfinished Gaston de Latour (1888-1894?), “The School of Giorgione” (1877) and “A Prince of Court Painters” (1885), Pater mentions and describes dress with special emphasis on details. Such descriptions belong to a series of writings on Aesthetic dress, admittedly a core component of British Aestheticism. Pater’s descriptions should therefore be contrasted to the 1870s portraits of Whistler, and to the 1880s-1890s writings of Whistler, Oscar Wilde and Max Beerbohm, along with the caricatures of Aesthetes by George du Maurier and Sir Leslie Ward. Laser ablation in the air at atmospheric pressure is nowadays frequently applied in industry, chemical analysis, surgery… For a further development of laser ablation based technologies, it is necessary to better understand the laser – matter interaction. During the impact of a laser pulse on the surface of the treated material, a plasma plume forms above the target surface. This plume contains particles (electrons, ions, atoms) of ablated matter, as well as of ambient gas, if present. Phase-Noise and Amplitude-Noise Measurement of DACs and DDSs

This article proposes a method for the measurement of Phase Noise (PN, or PM noise) and Amplitude Noise (AN, or AM noise) of Digital-to-Analog Converters (DAC) and Direct Digital Synthesizers (DDS) based on modulation-index amplification. The carrier is first reduced by a controlled amount (30-40 dB) by adding a reference signal of nearly equal amplitude and opposite in phase. Then, residual carrier and noise sidebands are amplified and sent to a conventional PN analyzer. La perspectiva semiológico-comunicativa adoptada por el Grupo de Investigación en Neurolingüística y Lingüística Clínica de la Universitat de València tiene como objetivo básico someter a estudio capacidades lingüísticas a través de las cuales se manifiestan, constituyen o desarrollan propiedades de la función simbólica del lenguaje. Tales propiedades son interpretables como rasgos de diseño que caracterizan transversalmente la actividad verbal humana.
