Calibration of a thermoluminescent dosimeter worn over lead aprons in fluoroscopy guided procedures

Fluoroscopy guided interventional procedures provide remarkable benefits to patients. However, medical staff working near the scattered radiation field may be exposed to high cumulative equivalent doses, thus requiring shielding devices such as lead aprons and thyroid collars. In this situation, it remains an acceptable practice to derive equivalent doses to the eye lenses or other unprotected soft tissues with a dosimeter placed above these protective devices. Nevertheless, the radiation backscattered by the lead shield differs from that generated during dosimeter calibration with a water phantom. Slippers, slip-on and sneakers - a few remarks on language borrowing in the world of fashion. Our paper addresses use of neological loanwords in the field of fashion. Regarding the fact that the main source of neological loanwords is in English, we will focus on Anglicisms used to describe different types of shoes. Specifically, we have chosen these tree words: slippers, sneakers, slip-on. The main purpose of our article is to describe the freąuency and use of these words in Czech and French.

PurposeAlthough drawing from neoinstitutional theoretical apparatus and ontology, management fashion theory is understood as a theory that explains the transitory nature of popular ideas and practices while institutional theory explains their stabilization, persistence and further institutionalization. In a nutshell, it seems that being opposed to each other, these two theories describe and predict different, incommensurable diffusion trajectories and organizational behaviour patterns. In this paper we present I-MALL, an ICT hardware and software infrastructure that enables the management of services related to places such as shopping malls, showrooms, and conferences held in dedicated facilities. I-MALL offers a network of services that perform customer behavior analysis through computer vision and provide personalized recommendations made available on digital signage terminals. Il motivo iconografico del teschio è uno dei più antichi e ricorrenti nella tradizione artistica. Nella contemporaneità questa immagine, oltrepassando i confini dell’arte, prolifera nella sfera della moda e del design. Questa migrazione ha il punto di svolta in For the Love of God (2007), il teschio intarsiato di diamanti, opera di Damien Hirst, a cui si è ispirato lo stilista Alexander McQueen per le sue creazioni di moda e accessori.
