Aquí se recogen varias publicaciones editadas con motivo del XXX congreso, así como documentos orgánicos del PSOE [Resoluciones, reglamentos, Estatutos, etc.], para que puedan ser útiles a estudiantes, investigadores, y personas interesadas en el tema. Germany is the biggest paper exporter in the world, the biggest paper producer in Europe and the fourth biggest producer in the world. It is also the biggest market in Europe and a major export market for European pulp producers. However, only three German pulp and paper companies made it to the top 100 list of the industry in 2010 and none made it into the top 50 (PPI 2011). Campaigns, candidate evaluations, and vote choice: Evidence from German federal election campaigns, 1980–2002

Abstract This article examines the effect of German federal election campaigns on citizens' attitudes toward chancellor candidates. Building on previous research, it puts forward three hypotheses tested using survey data gathered during seven German federal election campaigns. The results confirm that campaigns polarize the voters' perception of the chancellor candidates. During campaigns, voters also bring their opinions about candidates into line with their partisan attitudes. Moreover, during three campaigns candidate preferences become increasingly powerful predictors of vote choice. The findings also suggest that election-specific factors condition campaign effects. Il siciliano Giuseppe Motta (1902-1984), sebbene circoscritto all’ambito della storia locale, fu figura non priva di interesse se rapportata alla temperie ambientale in cui visse e al suo travaglio ideologico che lo portò, come Altiero Spinelli, dal marxismo al federalismo, tanto da auspicare la costituzione di un partito federalista che fosse artefice dell’unificazione politica europea. Nei suoi lavori, redatti tra il 1934 e il 1983, Motta difese tenacemente l’aggregazione federalista degli Stati europei nella convinzione che tale assetto avrebbe consentito alla Sicilia di collocarsi tra le regioni economicamente più sviluppate.

International Fiscal-Financial Spillovers:the Effect of Fiscal Shocks on Cross-Border Bank Lending

This paper sheds new light on the degree of international fiscal-financial spillovers by investigating the effect of domestic fiscal policies on cross-border bank lending. By estimating the dynamic response of U.S. cross-border bank lending towards the 45 recipient countries to exogenous domestic fiscal shocks (both measured by spending and revenue) between 1990Q1 and 2012Q4, we find that expansionary domestic fiscal shocks lead to a statistically significant increase in cross-border bank lending. Assessing Long-Term Fiscal Developments: A New Approach

We use a new approach to assess long-term fiscal developments. By analyzing the time-varying behaviour of the two components of government spending and revenue - responsiveness and persistence - we are able to infer about the sources of fiscal behaviour. Drawing on quarterly data we estimate recursively these components within a system of government revenue and spending equations using a Three-Stage Least Square method. In this way we track fiscal developments, i.e. possible fiscal deteriorations and/or improvements for eight European Union countries plus the US.
