<p>Currently the learning is in the center of the education therefore the methods and techniques that promote learning become topical, inter alia higher education. Formative assessment is a significant part of the study process as a factor for promotion of the learning. The article analyzes the experience of formative assessment at the study course aimed at the development of writing competence and ensuring appropriate skills development.</p>

This study evaluated changes in psychosocial factors and self-reported physical activity (PA) among the sample of Finnish men who underwent the fitness tests during the national health campaign. Another aim was to examine whether the fitness test feedback was a meaningful experience for PA change. Baseline data were collected in 2011 by fitness test and questionnaire. Men who had low/moderate fitness along with overweight ( n = 361) were recruited to the postcampaign study in 2014. The effect of acetate as a glucose co-substrate on growth, lysine synthesis and experimental lysine yield from carbon substrates by Corynebacterium glutamicum RC 115 was investigated. It was found that low amounts of acetate, injected with a glucose-acetate pulse into the steady-state continuous culture in bioreactor, caused a slight decrease in the specific rates of glucose uptake and bacterial growth, but a significant increase in the cell specific rate of lysine synthesis and an increase in lysine yield. The high osmolarity glycerol (HOG) pathway, composed of membrane-associated osmosensors, adaptor proteins and core signaling kinases, is essential for the survival of yeast cells under hyper-osmotic stress. Here, we studied how the MAPKKK Ste11 might change its protein interaction profile during acute stress exposure, with an emphasis on the sensory system of the so-called Sho1/Msb2 signaling branch. Class-B two-photon Fabry–Pérot laser

Abstract We study the stationary operation and stability properties of a class-B two-photon Fabry–Perot laser. We show that, differently from the one-photon laser, the intensity emitted by the two-photon laser is larger in a Fabry–Perot than in a ring cavity. The lasing solution loses stability through a subcritical Hopf bifurcation, as it occurs in the unidirectional ring laser. The stability domain in the parameter space is larger in the Fabry–Perot than in the ring cavity configuration.
