Multifunctional platforms for cancer theranosis

The objective of this thesis was to develop multifunctional tools for cancer theranosis, particularly based on nanotechnology. The work is based on the premise of monomolecular multimodal platform that aims to create the building blocks that can be used for the synthesis of functionalized nanoparticles, bioconjugates or targeted small molecular imaging probes.The initial work focused on the synthesis of the chelator based silane precursors. Survey sampling for functionnal data : building asymptotic confidence bands and considering auxiliary information

When collections of functional data are too large to be exhaustively observed, survey sampling techniques provide an effective way to estimate global quantities such as the population mean function, without being obligated to store all the data. In this thesis, we propose a Horvitz–Thompson estimator of the mean trajectory, and with additional assumptions on the sampling design, we state a functional Central Limit Theorem and deduce asymptotic confidence bands. For a fixed sample size, we show that stratified sampling can greatly improve the estimation compared to simple random sampling. This paper focuses on the role dictionaries play in a translation situation. This role is analysed in terms of the tenets of the Function Theory of Lexicography, which proposes that users do not have needs in general but punctual needs in specific situations. For example, translators of accounting texts need insertable equivalents whose meanings and language behaviour are clearly described. Furthermore, translators also need contextual data on domain-specific consensual usage. The aim of this PhD thesis is to elaborate mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSNs) able to sustain the release of cisplatin into the intracellular compartments of solid tumors. The parametric study shows that morphological, structural and textural properties of MSNs-MCM-41, synthesized by sol-gel reaction by using TEOS as a silica source and CTAB as a structure-directing agent, depend on pH, stirring speed, temperature and extraction process of CTAB. X-linked Adrenoleukodystrophy (X-ALD) is a rare neurodegenerative disease caused by deficiency of the peroxisomal half-transporter ABCD1, implicated in very long chain fatty acids import. Two additional half-transporters are located in the peroxisomal membrane: ABCD2 and ABCD3. Over-expression of ABCD2 is known to compensate for ABCD1 deficiency, making ABCD2 a therapeutic target for X-ALD treatment. Généralement, les courbes fractales sont nulle part dérivables, mais sous certaines conditions on peut montrer qu'elles admettent, en un ensemble de points, des demi-tangentes à droite et à gauche. Nous proposons une méthode permettant de déterminer ces demi-tangentes.
