Esiste una cospicua letteratura internazionale dedicata alle possibili modalità di gestione dei flussi di risorsa urbani. In ambito comunitario gli studi che possono essere considerati un riferimento sono quelli promossi dalla Commissione Europea. Sui risultati di questi studi è in larga parte fondata l’attuale politica di gestione dei servizi urbani che prevede una gerarchia di principi gestionali mettendo al primo posto la riduzione della produzione degli scarti alla fonte, seguita dal riuso, dal riciclo di materiali, dal recupero indiretto di energia o materiali secondari e solo come estrema soluzione, lo smaltimento in discarica. La collocazione della campana Valera, rifusa nel 1679, comportò la necessità di costruire un nuovo e più solido campanile per la cattedrale di Saragozza. Dal 1680, infatti, si avvicendarono nella città aragonese diversi artefici che presentarono al Capitolo svariati progetti da sottoporre al giudizio di Francisco de Herrera el Mozo, architetto di Carlo II. La prima pietra della torre fu posta il 4 luglio 1681 su direzione dei maestri locali Jaime Borbón, Francisco López e Gaspar Serrano. Discovery of a novel state of the Jean Mignon signed etching of "Alexander gifting gold to the priests of Ammon".

There are only two known prints signed by Jean Mignon, a decorative cartouche ("Io. MIGon. 1544") and "Alexander gifting gold to the priests of Ammon" ("Io. MIGon."). Until now, the latter was known only in one state and three proofs kept at the British Musem, the Arsenal Library and the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. In 2016 the Dole city library purchased an album of prints that contained a different state of this engravong. A close examination further shows that the British Museum proof is actually from the same state as this Dole Library print.

Do serifs provide an advantage in the recognition of written words?

A neglected issue in the literature on visual-word recognition is the careful examination of parameters such as font, size, or interletter/interword spacing on reading times. Here we analysed whether serifs (i.e., the small features at the end of strokes) play a role in lexical access. Traditionally, serif fonts have been considered easier to read than sans serif fonts, but prior empirical evidence is scarce and inconclusive.
