Purpose– With the licence season 2013/2014 onwards Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) Financial Fair Play (FFP) fully came into force. Abstract Positive psychology defends that resilience and satisfaction of the basic psychological needs contribute to predict athletes’ quality of engagement and optimal development. Based on self-determination theory the present study aims to test a model analyzing the relationship between young athletes’ resilience, satisfaction and thwarting of their basic psychological needs, and their experiences of enjoyment and boredom within their sport practice. [Abstract] The aim of this study was to identify differences in technical-tactical behaviour between the men and women first division football teams of the Spanish league, to this end 68 matches corresponding to 2016/17 season were analysed. A comparative analysis of the medians was carried out using the Mann-Whitney U-tests were conducted as post hoc tests. This study aimed to explore which offensive variables best discriminate the ball possession duration according to players specific role (defenders, midfielders, attackers) during a Gk+3vs3+Gk football small-sided games. In this work we have considered reducing an extensive data matrix to improve interpretation, using PCA.
