Prove di coltivazione di Iperico (Hypericum perforatum L.) in ambiente semi-arido
2010
L’Iperico (Hypericum perforatum L.; Fam.
Arterial O2-Partial Pressure at Positve Endexpiratory Pressure in Hyperoxia for Verification of Patent Foramen Ovale?
1990
As a rule, during anaesthesia a time dependent increase in pulmonary shunting occurs even in states of normal lung function. Therefore positive end-expiratory pressure ventilation (PEEP) is often used to decrease intrapulmonary right/left shunting (RL shunt) and thus to increase arterial O2 partial pressure (paO2) without increasing the inspiratory oxygen fraction.

Infracyanine Green vs. Brilliant Blue G in Inverted Flap Surgery for Large Macular Holes: A Long-Term Swept-Source OCT Analysis
2020
Background and Objectives: To compare the long-term toxicity of infracyanine green (IFCG) to brilliant blue G (BBG) in inverted internal limiting membrane flap surgery (I-ILMFS) for large, full-thickness macular holes (FTMHs). Materials and Methods: Prospective randomized study including 39 eyes with &ge
Information transfer determined by association of neighbours in European bee-eater (Merops apiaster) colonies
2007
The Information Centre Hypothesis (ICH) and the Two-Strategies Hypothesis (TSH) predict that foraging success is enhanced by information exchanged among individuals within a colony or roost. Nest location within a colony may be critical in this regard, as individuals with abundant, nearby neighbours likely have greater access to information regarding a new food resource than relatively isolated breeders. To determine how the availability of neighbours influences information transfer, we quantified foraging success in a population of European bee-eaters (Merops apiaster) provided with a honey bee (Apis mellifera) hive as a new food resource. To quantify potential information transfer we deve…
Jack of all trades, master of all: a positive association between habitat niche breadth and foraging performance in pit-building antlion larvae.
2012
Species utilizing a wide range of resources are intuitively expected to be less efficient in exploiting each resource type compared to species which have developed an optimal phenotype for utilizing only one or a few resources. We report here the results of an empirical study whose aim was to test for a negative association between habitat niche breadth and foraging performance. As a model system to address this question, we used two highly abundant species of pit-building antlions varying in their habitat niche breadth: the habitat generalist Myrmeleon hyalinus, which inhabits a variety of soil types but occurs mainly in sandy soils, and the habitat specialist Cueta lineosa, which is restr…
Two new species of the genusBatropetes(Tetrapoda, Lepospondyli) from the Central European Rotliegend (basal Permian) in Germany
2015
ABSTRACTTwo new species of Batropetes are described from the Lower Rotliegend of the Saar-Nahe Basin in western Germany. Batropetes palatinus, sp. nov., is characterized by a narrow, anteriorly elongated prefrontal, a slender postfrontal without an anterolateral process, a trapezoid postorbital, and a large quadrate in exterior view. Batropetes appelensis, sp. nov., is characterized by a high angular, ‘Z’-shaped angular-dentary suture, no indentation between stem and plate of interclavicle, and scapulocoracoid without ossified coracoid. The genus Batropetes is characterized by an average length of almost 8 cm, a short trunk with 17 or 19 presacrals depending on the species, large orbit with…
