Global circulating miR (c-miR) expression patterns (c-miRnome) change with carcinogenesis in various sporadic cancers. Therefore, aberrantly expressed c-miRs could have diagnostic, predictive and prognostic potential in molecular profiling of cancers. c-miR functions in carriers of inherited pathogenic mismatch-repair gene variants (path_MMR), also known as Lynch syndrome (LS), have remained understudied. Targeting the tumor mutanome for personalized vaccination therapy

Next generation sequencing enables identification of immunogenic tumor mutations targetable by individualized vaccines. In the B16F10 melanoma system as pre-clinical proof-of-concept model, we found a total of 563 non-synonymous expressed somatic mutations. Of the mutations we tested, one third were immunogenic. Immunization conferred in vivo tumor control, qualifying mutated epitopes as source for effective vaccines.

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie stanu państwa opiekuńczego i przestrzeni publicznej w epoce płynnej nowoczesności, omawianej w dziełach Zygmunta Baumana. Tekst rozpoczyna analiza zwrotu neoliberalnego w kontekście upłynniania się nowoczesnego świata. Neoliberalne myślenie zdominowało bowiem społeczne, polityczne, ekonomiczne i kulturowe aspekty życia. Na tym tle przedstawiono zjawisko społeczeństwa sieciowego, związanego z technologiami informacyjnymi i komunikacyjnymi, takimi jak Internet i telefon komórkowy, a także omówiono globalny kryzys nierówności, niweczący wysiłki podejmowane na rzecz demokracji.
Rearrangement of N-(3-pyridyl)nitramine

AbstractContrary to other N-(pyridyl)nitramines, the title compound cannot be rearranged to 3-amino-2-nitropyridine or other isomers. Hypothetical products of its transformation under influence of concentrated sulphuric acid, viz. 3-hydroxypyridine, 3,3′-azoxypyridine and 3,3′-azopyridine, were obtained from 3-nitro- and 3-aminopyridine in oxidation and reduction reactions. N-(3-Pyridyl)nitramine was prepared and rearranged in concentrated sulphuric acid. 3-Hydroxypyridine and 3,3′-azoxypyridine were isolated from the reaction mixture, other products were identified by the HPLC and GCMS methods. Noise effect in a sine-Gordon Lattice

International audience; This paper is devoted to the influence of internal noise in a sine-Gordon chain exhibiting the well known nonlinear supratransmission phenomenon. It is shown that spatiotemporal noise can trigger breather modes with a given probability in a range of parameters where they do not occur without noise. A frequency analysis is carried out to quantify the degree of coherence of the emitted breather. It is shown that there exists an appropriate amount of noise which ensures the existence of breather modes with the best coherence.
Ghost stochastic resonance in FitzHugh–Nagumo circuit

International audience; The response of a neural circuit submitted to a bi-chromatic stimulus and corrupted by noise is investigated. In the presence of noise, when the spike firing of the circuit is analysed, a frequency not present at the circuit input appears. For a given range of noise intensities, it is shown that this ghost frequency is almost exclusively present in the interspike interval distribution. This phenomenon is for the first time shown experimentally in a FitzHugh-Nagumo circuit.
