Piping erosion is one form of water erosion that leads to significant changes in the landscape and environmental degradation. In the present study, we evaluated piping erosion modeling in the Zarandieh watershed of Markazi province in Iran based on random forest (RF), support vector machine (SVM), and Bayesian generalized linear models (Bayesian GLM) machine learning algorithms. Il contributo esamina due dipinti conservati nelle chiese di Petralia Sottana, centro delle alte Madonie. Si tratta della tela raffigurante San Carlo Borromeo della Chiesa Madre che, datata al secondo decennio del Seicento, viene riferita a Giuseppe Salerno, pittore della maniera conosciuto insieme al suo concittadino Gaspare Bazzano come Zoppo di Gangi. L’altro dipinto, invece, è l’affresco raffigurante La disputa di Gesù con i Dottori della chiesa di San Francesco d’Assisi che, riferito dubitativamente pure al Salerno, viene ricondotto ad anonimo pittore della maniera. Cet article présente un dispositif d’ateliers culinaires1 à destination des patientes atteintes d’un cancer ainsi que son évaluation tendant à montrer qu’il s’agit d’un outil thérapeutique aidant les patients à mieux prendre en charge leur alimentation. Fracture and fatigue of titanium narrow dental implants: New trends in order to improve the mechanical response

Sixty-four fractured commercially pure titanium (cp-Ti) narrow dental implants (NDIs) with similar macrogeometry and connection designs were studied after different implantation times in humans in order to determine their reliability and to evaluate the causes of the fracture. These NDIs were compared with other similar implants, made with alloyed titanium with 15% Zr and with 12% strained titanium. Original implants were tested under static and fatigue conditions, simulating the tri-axial loads in the mouth by means of a Bionix hydraulic test machine. Characterization of thin plastic foils for applications in X-ray optics technology

Thin plastic foils are being investigated to build shell optics for X-ray telescopes. Compared to polished glass optics, the advantage is in terms of increased collecting area, light weight and lower cost. Plastic material is also desirable to allow deformation into a complete surface of revolution. We collected plastic materials of common use for industrial applications and also specialty materials developed for the electronic industry.
