Cyclodextrines confinantes : synthèse, propriétés complexantes et utilisation en catalyse asymétrique
2014
This manuscript is concerned with the design of novel catalytic systems derived from metallocyclodextrins. The first part describes new ways of functionalising the cyclodextrin primary face regioselectively for accessing inherently chiral P,P’ chelators. These heterodentate ligands gavequantitatively cis-chelate complexes with various d8 cations. Their rhodium(I) complexes were assessed in the asymmetric hydrogenation and hydroformylation of prochiral olefins. Thecoordination and catalytic properties of two phosphines derived from a- and b-cyclodextrin are also reported. With their phosphorus lone pair pointing toward the CD core, these confining ligands force the coordinated metal centre t…
Homogeneous Metal-Based Catalysis in Supercritical Carbon Dioxide as Reaction Medium
2016
Above 31.1 degrees C and 73.8 bar, carbon dioxide reaches the supercritical state, being transformed into a fluid (scCO(2)) that has attracted interest in the last few decades as reaction medium for several transition-metal-catalyzed organic transformations. The main feature of this fluid rests on its capability to dissolve large amounts of other gases such as hydrogen, carbon monoxide, ethylene, or even methane and light alkanes. In this manner, very high concentrations of these reactants are available for catalysis. In this contribution a review of the main achievements of the use of transition-metal complexes as catalysts in scCO(2) is presented.
A Study of the Separation of 1-Dodecene and 1-Tetradecene Hydroformylation Products in Aqueous Medium
2009
Abstract Experimental results of the solubilization of olefins in hydroformylation model systems, comprising 1-dodecene and 1-tridecanal or 1-tetradecene and 1-pentadecanal, water, butanol, sodium dodecylsulfate (SDS), sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate (SDBS), and/or tri(m-sulfofenyl)phosphine trisodium salt (TPPTS-Na) are presented. The selected systems were used for the hydroformylation of 1-dodecene and 1-tetradecene whereby high yields of aldehydes were obtained. After the reaction, the mixture spontaneously separated into an organic phase with the reaction products and an aqueous phase comprising the catalyst and excess phosphine ligand.

The thermodynamically more stable diethoxymethylcarbenium and trimethoxycarbenium ions exhibit ambident electrophilic reactivity as predominant al…
Rhodium and palladium complexes from 1,1′ and 1,2 ferrocenylphosphine as bidentate ligands. Versatile coordination
2000
Abstract The complexation of the mixed bidentate ligands 1-diphenylphosphino-1′-diphenylthiophosphinoferrocenyl and 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ferrocenyl with rhodium(I) and palladium(II) species yield a range of mono- and dirhodium or palladium complexes. Their interest as possible catalysts for alkene hydroformylation and alkoxycarbonylation and Heck coupling reactions has been assessed. Fe[C5Me4P(S)Ph2][C5Me4PPh2]PdCl2 and Fe[C5H2-1,2-(PPh2)2-4-tBu][C5H5]PdCl2 have been characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies.
First reactions of dialkoxycarbenium tetrafluoroborates with pyrroles, 5H-dibenz[b,f]azepines, and electron-rich arenes
2009
Pyrrole (2a) and 2,5-dimethylpyrrole (2b) react with the dialkoxycarbenium tetrafluoroborates 1a-1c under kinetic control to yield the corresponding acylpyrrole derivatives. 5H-Dibenz[b,f]azepine (9a) and the 10,11-dihydro derivative 9b react only with the most electrophilic of the series of electrophiles tested, namely, diethoxycarbenium tetrafluoroborate (1a), to furnish the corresponding formyl derivatives. Similarly, in arene chemistry, the highly electron-rich N,N-dimethylaniline (13a) and 1,3,5-trimethoxybenzene (13b) are formylated by reaction with 1a.
Group 4 and Group 8 unbridged metallocene derivatives with a pendant fluorenyl group. X-ray structure of 1,1â²-bis[2-(2-fluorenyl)propyl]ferrocene
1999
Abstract The action of one equivalent of BuLi on 2-cyclopentadienyl-2-fluorenylpropane (C5H5CMe2C13H9) led to the monoanionic salt LiC5H4CMe2C13H9. This anion was reacted with Fe2Cl4(THF)3, TiCl3(THF)3, ZrCl4, HfCl4 or CpZrCl3, DME and, in a mixture with CpLi, with Fe2Cl4(THF)3 affording the corresponding metallocenes and metallocene dichlorides. The X-ray structure of Fe(η5-C5H4CMe2C13H9)2 is described. The first results about the reactivity of the fluorenyl group are reported together with the synthesis of Zr(η5-C5H5)[η5-C5H4CMe2-η5-C13H8Rh(cod)]Cl2, which has been tested using hydroformylation and cyclotrimerisation catalysis.
2,5-Dialkoxysubstituierte Oligo- und Poly(1,4-phenylenethenylen)e
1994
2,5-Dialkoxy Substituted Oligo- and Poly(1,4-phenyleneethenylene)s O-Alkylation and regioselective Rieche formylation of 2-methylhydroquinone (1) yields the 2,5-dialkoxy-4-methylbenzaldehydes 4a–j. The corresponding azomethines 5a–j enter in a strongly alkaline medium a selfcondensation reaction leading to the title compounds 6/7a–j. These conjugated oligomers and polymers possess highly regular structures with exclusively (E)-configurated double bonds. GPC, IR, 1H-, 13C-NMR and MS-FD measurements were used for their characterization. Somewhat different results were obtained for the similarly prepared Schiff base 5l which contains chlorine substituents in the side chains. Cleavage of hydrog…
Straightforward synthesis of donor-stabilised phosphenium adducts from imidazolium-2-carboxylate and their electronic properties
2007
Cationic imidazolium-2-phosphanes were obtained by the addition of a chlorophosphane (R2PCl, R = Ph, iPr or Cy) to 1,3-dimethylimidazolium-2-carboxylate without the need for a purification step. An additional anion exchange reaction with KPF6 led to the corresponding halide-free ligands in excellent yields. The molecular structure of one of them was examined both in the solid state and in solution. The lone pair of electrons on the phosphorus atom is not delocalised to the imidazolium fragment and thus remains available for further metal coordination. As such compounds can be described as phosphenium cations stabilised by a N-heterocarbene donor base, the electronic properties of the Lewis …
Reaktion von elektronenreichen Heterocyclen mit Orthocarbonsäure-Derivaten, 12. Formylierung von Vinylindolen mit Diethoxycarbenium-tetrafluoroborat
1988
Reactions of Electron-Rich Heterocycles with Orthocarboxylic Acid Derivatives, 12. – Formylation of Vinylindoles with Diethoxycarbenium Tetrafluoroborate 2- and 3-vinylindoles 1, 3 are formylated with diethoxycarbenium tetrafluoroborate regioselectively. The significant selectivity and reactivity of formylation of diethoxycarbenium ion in comparison with other thermodynamically more stable dialkoxycarbenium ions are compatible with the known results of hetaryl functionalisation with orthocarboxylic acid derivatives.
