Getting married or entering into a partnership : the patrimonial issues of choice in french law

In French law, there are only two models of couples between which a choice is really possible to organize their patrimonial relationships: partnership or marriage. But, if the couple intends to organize a transfer of assets between companions both during the union and in case of death, it is definitely marriage that offers more possibilities than partnership. Often, young French couples, who do not wish to marry, either not at the begining of their relationship or not at all, have the idea that, if marriage organizes a legal protection of the couple, the partners have the possibility to provide conventionally equivalent protection. In fact, this idea is wrong.

Il saggio mette a sistema alcuni studi sugli architetti ed imprenditori di origine trapanese che emigrarono in Tunisia fra il XVIII e XIX secolo e ne propone una lettura inedita. Il fil rouge che lega Giuseppe Abita, la famiglia di imprenditori Canino e Domenico Basciano riguarda sia la loro provenienza dalla città siciliana, ma soprattutto l'importante contributo che essi hanno trasferito nell'architettura del periodo coloniale e post-coloniale francese nel Maghreb.

Little is known about how people characterise and classify the experience of deja vu. The term deja vu might capture a range of different phenomena and people may use it differently. We examined the description of deja vu in two languages: French and English, hypothesising that the use of deja vu would vary between the two languages. In French, the phrase deja vu can be used to indicate a veridical experience of recognition - as in "I have already seen this face before". However, the same is not true in English. The isolated community of the Wayampi Amerindians has been extensively studied for the presence of beta lactamase-producing enterobacteria and their gut microbiota. However, no information about their virome was available. This study tries to establish potential associations between the virome and diverse epidemiological data, through the metagenomic study of the faecal prophages and DNA viruses from 31 samples collected in 2010.
