Vajavainen nainen : Freudin naiskuva Irigarayn silmin

Tämän tutkielman tarkoituksena on esitellä Sigmund Freudin naiskuvaa sekä kritiikkiä jota Luce Irigarayn on tälle naiskuvalle esittänyt. Tutkielmassa tarkastelen Freudin käsitystä naisista Irigarayn Speculum of the Other Woman -teoksessa esittämän kritiikin kautta. Esittelen Freudin käsityksiä naisen kehityksestä ja naisen luonteesta Irigarayn viitoittaman – erityisesti Freudin “Femininity” -esseeseen kohdistuvan – kritiikin kautta. Normativity, moral realism, and unmasking explanations

Moral Projectivism must be able to specify under what conditions a certain inner response counts as a moral response. I argue, however, that moral projectivists cannot coherently do so because they must assume that there are moral properties in the world in order to fix the content of our moral judgements. To show this, I develop a number of arguments against moral dispositionalism, which is, nowadays, the most prom- ising version of moral projectivism. In this context, I call into question both David Lewis' dispositionalist account of colour and Chistine Korsgaard's procedural realism.

Investigating former pupils’ experiences and perceptions of CLIL in Finland: a retrospective analysis

The educational approach known as Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), in which content is taught partly through a foreign language, has gained great popularity in Europe in the past few decades. In Finland, CLIL has been in use since 1991 and, despite some fluctuations in its popularity, has gained a relatively stable place in the Finnish education system. CLIL has been extensively studied, but previous CLIL research has mostly focused on pupils currently enrolled in CLIL. A phenomenological view of pictures in teaching and a novel method for analysing them

In this paper a novel method for analysing the content and teaching potential of pictures is presented. It is the four-field method, which is based on phenomenological thoughts about human experience, which combines factual knowledge with emotions and personal and social meanings.  A biological example is given. Around this idea a course unit for using pictures in science teaching was organized. It was used in the training of both primary and secondary level teachers. From picture analysis the course unit proceeds to planning the use of pictures in teaching. A classification of the teaching functions of pictures is presented.

Tutkielmani tarkoituksena on tarkastella Sigmund Freudin ja Erich Frommin kuvaa ihmisluonnosta, ihmisestä sosiaalisena olentona sekä ihmisen suhteesta maailmaan. Käyn aluksi lävitse Freudin ihmiskuvaa, jossa ihmisen käytös on pitkälti ulkomaailman realiteettien sanelemaa, mutta ihminen omaa kyvyn sisäistää ulkomaailman osia itseensä, muovaten siten sekä itseään että suhdettaan maailmaan. Yritän työssäni tarkastella tämän todellisuussuhteen muovaamisen syitä, taustoja ja seuraamuksia. Believe It or Not – No Support for an Effect of Providing Explanatory or Threat-Related Information on Conspiracy Theories’ Credibility

Past research suggests that certain content features of conspiracy theories may foster their credibility. In two experimental studies (N = 293), we examined whether conspiracy theories that explicitly offer a broad explanation for the respective phenomena and/or identify potential threat posed by conspirators are granted more credibility than conspiracy theories lacking such information. Furthermore, we tested whether people with a pronounced predisposition to believe in conspiracies are particularly susceptible to such information.
