INSTITUT UNIVERSITARI D'ESTUDIS DE LA DONA

2006

Coadsorption of hydrogen and deuterium on zeolites at cryogenic temperatures : influence of the sorbent’s properties on selectivity

2019

The adsorption of hydrogen and deuterium (single gases and mixtures) was studied on a series of zeolites with varied parameters (Si/Al ratio, nature of the charge-compensating cation, pore geometry and diameter of pore aperture). Thermodynamic adsorption selectivities towards deuterium with respect to hydrogen were measured in a large pressure range (0.1 – 1000 hPa) and for several temperatures (45 – 100 K). The adsorption selectivity was assessed using direct coadsorption measurements performed by manometry coupled with mass spectrometry. For all studied zeolites and experimental conditions, the coadsorption process is selective towards deuterium, in agreement with the literature. However,…

α-parvin is required for epidermal morphogenesis, hair follicle development and basal keratinocyte polarity

2020

Epidermal morphogenesis and hair follicle (HF) development depend on the ability of keratinocytes to adhere to the basement membrane (BM) and migrate along the extracellular matrix. Integrins are cell-matrix receptors that control keratinocyte adhesion and migration, and are recognized as major regulators of epidermal homeostasis. How integrins regulate the behavior of keratinocytes during epidermal morphogenesis remains insufficiently understood. Here, we show that alpha-parvin (alpha-pv), a focal adhesion protein that couples integrins to actin cytoskeleton, is indispensable for epidermal morphogenesis and HF development. Inactivation of the murine alpha-pv gene in basal keratinocytes res…

Louise Doutreligne’s Signé Pombo: a French dramatic transposition of the Manuel Vázquez Montalbán’s "Autobiografía del general Franco"

2014

Mechanical properties, internal structure and transport mechanism of oxygen in cork

2015

During the post bottling aging, premature oxidation reactions could occur and the oxygen barrier properties of the stopper are often pointed out. Nowadays, the internal structure of this material or the effect of hydration on its mechanical properties are still undetermined. Moreover, regarding the barrier properties, the limiting step of the oxygen transfer was not yet fully understood as well as the effect of compression or the role of the glass/cork interface in a bottleneck. The study of the internal structure of cork stopper allowed us to visualize the macroporosity of the material and conclude that there is no interconnectivity between lenticels, for the two qualities studied. The eff…

Dones en el mercat de treball

2012

Superior Fischer-Tropsch performance of uniform cobalt nanoparticles deposited into mesoporous SiC

2020

Electrochemically-derived well-crystalline mesoporous silicon carbide (pSiC) was used as a host for cobalt nanoparticles to demonstrate superior catalytic performance during the CO hydrogenation according to Fischer-Tropsch. Colloidal Co nanoparticles (9 ± 0.4 nm) were prepared independently using colloidal recipes before incorporating them into pSiC and, for comparison purposes, into commercially available silica (Davisil) as well as foam-like MCF-17 supports. The Co/pSiC catalyst demonstrated the highest (per unit mass) catalytic activity of 117 µmol.g(CO)-1.g-1(Co).s-1 at 220 °C which was larger by about one order of magnitude as compared to both silica supported cobalt catalysts. Furthe…
