Abstract Background: The molecular regulation of viral latency and reactivation is a central unsolved issue in the understanding of cytomegalovirus (CMV) biology. Like human CMV (hCMV), murine CMV (mCMV) can establish a latent infection in cells of the myeloid lineage. Since mCMV genome remains present in various organs after its clearance from hematopoietic cells first in bone marrow and much later in blood, there must exist one or more widely distributed cell type(s) representing the cellular site(s) of enduring mCMV latency in host tissues. Morbidity and mortality in patients with malignancies are increased by viral infections. These mostly are reactivations of asymptomatic latent infections. They primarily concern clinical entities associated with the reactivation of herpes viruses, such as varicella zoster virus (VZV) and cytomegalovirus (CMV). Respiratory tract infections caused by influenza, parainfluenza or respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) are less common. Since reactivation of latent infections has major clinical impact, antiviral prophylaxis is an attractive approach for patients expecting immunosuppression. This article presents the results of material studies focused on identifying and comparing the contents of the pigment palettes of two notable Finnish painters, Helene Schjerfbeck (1862–1946) and Akseli Gallen-Kallela (1865–1931). The research methods used comprise energydispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (EDXRF) and polarised light microscopy (PLM). In addition, certain pigments have been identified in colour areas of the works using specular reflection FT-infrared spectrometry (FTIR) and Raman spectrometry. Vārda krājuma bagātināšana ir viens no pamatuzdevumiem komunikatīvu prasmju attīstībai svešvalodā. Skolēniem var rasties grūtības angļu valodas vārdu izmantošanā runā un rakstos, un dažiem no viņiem trūkst motivācijas mācīties jaunus vārdus. Lai pārbaudītu, kā adaptētas galda spēles var veicināt angļu valodas vārda krājuma apguvi, tika veikts gadījuma pētījums. Pēc nodarbību cikla ar adaptēto galda spēļu izmantošanu tika veikta skolēnu zināšanu pārbaude. Kontroldarba rezultāti parādīja, ka mācīšanās ar adaptētu galda spēļu palīdzību veicināja augstu vārdu atpazīšanas un kontrolētas izmantošanas līmeni. In this paper atomic decomposition theorems of martingales are considered. In particular, three atomic decomposition theorems for Lorentz martingale spacesHs p,q, Qp,q andDp,q, where 0 < p < 1, and 0 < q 1, are proved. As a consequence of these decompositions, the authors obtain a sufficient condition for a sublinear operator T, defined on the previous Lorentz martingale spaces Hs p,q, Qp,q and Dp,q and taking values in Lorentz spaces Lr, to be bounded. Also, a restricted weak-type interpolation theorem is established.
