Tumoral lymphocyte immune response to preoperative radiotherapy in locally advanced rectal cancer as a prognostic factor for survival: the LYMPHOREC …
2015
Présentation Poster; International audience; Background: Short-course preoperative radiotherapy (sc-preopRT) and long-course preoperative radiotherapy (lc-preopRT) followed by total mesorectal excision (TME) are worldwide standards of care in locally advanced T3–4 N0 or N1 rectal adenocarcinoma. It is now well established that the host immune system participates in the elimination of tumor cells and that significant tumor infiltration by T-cells (LT), such as CD8+, is associated with a better prognosis. In colorectal tumors, the infiltration of Treg FoxP3+ is also described as a prognostic factor associated with better survival. We aimed to investigate the impact of the immune response to p…

Expanding genetic graphs' potential to analyse ecological connectivity: assessment of graphs construction methods
2019
International audience; Dispersal movements are often constrained in human-shaped landscapes, thereby threatening species survival. Landscape genetics approaches are commonly used to analyse ecological connectivity because genetic data well reflect dispersal capacities. When species occupy discrete habitat patches, graph-theoretic methods are a particularly relevant approach to study dispersal-driven gene flow. The links of a genetic graph can be weighted using different genetic distances between populations (nodes). Similarly, graph pruning (link set selection) can rely on different criteria. However, despite growing interest in genetic graphs, the influence of these parameters remains mos…
The underlying processes governing seed size plasticity: Impact of endoploidy on seed coat development and cell expansion in Medicago truncatula
2019
Prod 2019-55a BAP GEAPSI CT1 BAP; Abstract Bigger seeds represent an agronomic and economic benefit but the breeding and ecological balance between seed size and number is difficult to find. Large seeds associated with other practices can improve crop competitiveness as they are more vigorous and result in healthier crops with higher yields, even under stressful conditions. Applying genomic research and genome-wide association studies to breeding is generating new strategies to improve seed traits and novel insights into the biology of seed development and metabolism that are discussed in this chapter. The DNA amount differs among the seed tissues and amplifying genomic DNA by endocycle ind…
Mollusc shellomes: Past, present and future.
2020
13 pages; International audience; In molluscs, the shell fabrication requires a large array of secreted macromolecules including proteins and polysaccharides. Some of them are occluded in the shell during mineralization process and constitute the shell repertoire. The protein moieties, also called shell proteomes or, more simply, 'shellomes', are nowadays analyzed via high-throughput approaches. These latter, applied so far on about thirty genera, have evidenced the huge diversity of shellomes from model to model. They also pinpoint the recurrent presence of functional domains of diverse natures. Shell proteins are not only involved in guiding the mineral deposition, but also in enzymatic a…
