Since the 19th century, thousands of footprints were observed in the geological series of the French Mesozoic. All are located in the Triassic and Jurassic. After a promising beginning, in France, it is only a few papers which will be published in the first half 20th century, unlike the USA and of others countries of Western Europe. Influence of the Resin Layer Thickness at the Interface of Hybrid Metal-composite Co-cured Joints

As discussed in literature, the accurate analysis of the modern co-cured joints between composite materials or between a metal and a composite material (hybrid joints) is complicated by the influence of the interface resin layer on the interface singular stress field. In such joints, in fact, there is not a proper adhesive layer and the thickness of the resin layer, that plays the role of the adhesive, is not constant due to the presence of the reinforcing fibers in the composite adherent. Holocene Spatiotemporal Redox Variations in the Southern Baltic Sea

Low oxygen conditions in the modern Baltic Sea are exacerbated by human activities; however, anoxic conditions also prevailed naturally over the Holocene. Few studies have characterized the specific paleoredox conditions (manganous, ferruginous, euxinic) and their frequency in southern Baltic sub-basins during these ancient events. Abstract The so-called Carnot Sandstones, Mesozoic fluvio-lacustrine detrital formation, which stretch over an area of more than 40 000 km 2 in the western part of the Central African Republic, are made of a succession of conglomerates, sandstones and argilites which can reach 300 m in thickness. Heavy mineral analyses and quartz exoscopic studies of this detrital material allow to understand the geology of these formations. Extensional deformations during Neogene chain building in Sicily

ABSTRACT In the Madonie-Nebrodi Mts (Northern Sicily belt) both Mesozoic carbonate platform/basin-derived deformed successions and Neogene foredeep deposits outcrop. Thrust sheets piled-up southwards in thin-skin piggy-back sequence. The chain building process began during the Oligo-Miocene. The syntectonic deposits involved in the compressional tectonics give evidence that syn-sedimentary extensional faults developed during fold nucleation and amplification. Syn-sedimentary extensional faults affect the foredeep strata at different stratigraphic levels, which are bounded by unconformities. How news affect the trading behavior of different categories of investors in a financial market

We investigate the trading behavior of a large set of single investors trading the highly liquid Nokia stock over the period 2003-2008 with the aim of determining the relative role of endogenous and exogenous factors that may affect their behavior. As endogenous factors we consider returns and volatility, whereas the exogenous factors we use are the total daily number of news and a semantic variable based on a sentiment analysis of news. Linear regression and partial correlation analysis of data show that different categories of investors are differently correlated to these factors. A well-preserved crinoid stem in a building stone (Early Carboniferous, Mississippian) at Maastricht, the Netherlands

An exceptionally well-preserved and long crinoid stem is exposed on a slab of decorative Lower Carboniferous (Mississippian) limestone in front of an opticianʼs in Maastricht-Wyck, the Netherlands. The pluricolumnal is incomplete, but is c. 176.5 mm long by at least 7.0 mm wide and with a broad axial canal. The column is heteromorphic, N3231323. The specimen most likely represents a cladid or monobathrid that was preserved parallel to bedding.
