Lādiņnesēju kustīguma noteikšana ir būtiska vielas pielietojumu novērtēšanā. Organiskām gaismas emitējošām diodēm un organiskām saules šūnām ir nepieciešams sastāvēt no materiāliem ar augstu lādiņnesēju kustīgumu. Darba mērķis ir noteikt molekulārās struktūras ietekmi uz savienojuma lādiņnesēju kustīgumu, savienojumiem ar potenciālo pielietojumu saules elementiem vai gaismas izstarojošām diodēm. Chasing writers’ ghosts through a modern city : Augmenting urban space with literary connections during the Tove Jansson walk in Helsinki

The article employs the theme of a literary walk (Watson 2009), a practice of encountering places with literary associations on foot. Urban areas present especially suitable settings for such themed walks, as cities can have multiple literary connections, and literary places are located within a short distance from one another. In this paper, I focus on the sites associated with Tove Jansson (1914– 2001), a Finnish-Swedish artist and writer, internationally known for her books about the Moomins. This theoretical work scrutinizes poetical aspects of writing in the web (blogs, chat, forums). The practice of writing called web prose use the elements of speech and textualize it. This brings web prose near the tradition of literature, not as art, but as style of prose writing. By using H-G Gadamer`s hermeneutics, philosophy of conversation and poetics, I ask how the tradition of writing comes in to the web. Maģistra darbā tika izpētīts Rīgas nekustamā īpašuma tirgus komercplatību segments, izstrādāti divi tā attīstības scenāriji līdz 2017. gadam un novērtēta scenāriju īstenošanas iespēja. Šī mērķa sasniegšanai autore veica nekustamā īpašuma tirgus funkcionēšanas teorētisko aspektu izpēti, komercplatību segmenta nomas likmes būtības izpēti un nekustamā īpašuma tirgus attīstības scenāriju izstrādi, kā arī šo scenāriju realizācijas iespējas novērtējumu. Lai pārbaudītu hipotēzi, ka dažādas sociālās sistēmas un uzvedība ir saistīta ar vidi, ko suga apdzīvo, izmanto salīdzinošo metodi, kas pēta taksonomiski tuvu radnieciskas sugas, kurām atšķiras dzīves vide. Darba mērķis ir apskatīt atšķirības divu Microtus hartingi pasugu vairošanās stratēģijās saistībā ar pasugas veidošanos fragmentētā areālā. Hybrid vibration signal monitoring approach for rolling element bearings

New approach to identify different lifetime stages of rolling element bearings, to improve early bearing fault detection, is presented. We extract characteristic features from vibration signals generated by rolling element bearings. This data is first pre-labelled with an unsupervised clustering method. Then, supervised methods are used to improve the labelling. Moreover, we assess feature importance with each classifier. From the practical point of view, the classifiers are compared on how early emergence of a bearing fault is being suggested. The results show that all of the classifiers are usable for bearing fault detection and the importance of the features was consistent. peerReviewed

In international education studies, the different-language test versions need to be equally difficult to read and answer for the test to be valid. To ensure comparability, several quality control procedures have been developed. Among these, surprisingly little attention has been paid to judgmental reviews and their ability to identify language-related sources of bias. Vuoristot kattavat 20–25 % maapallon pinta-alasta ja niiden alueella kasvaa noin 28 % maapallon metsistä. Vuoristometsät ovat monella tapaa arvokkaita: ne tarjoavat useita ekosysteemipalveluita ja raaka-aineita sekä sisältävät suuren määrän elinympäristöjä ja eliölajeja. Ne ovat kuitenkin myös erittäin haavoittuvaisia. Resurssien optimoimiseksi tutkijat ovat nimenneet maapallolta hotspot-alueita, joilla esiintyy suuri määrä endeemisiä ja uhanalaisia lajeja. Ihmistoiminta vaikuttaa ekosysteemien luonnolliseen tilaan ollen merkittävä uhka hotspot-alueiden lajeille.
