Ionic Liquids as Homogeneous Catalysts for Glycerol Oligomerization

Ionic liquids (ILs) were used for the first time as catalysts for the glycerin condensation reaction. A series of imidazolium and ammonium ionic liquids differing in the length of the alkyl substituent (C2, C12, and C14) and the type of anion (Br−, CH3COO−, and NaHPO4−) were synthesized using a typical two-step method. The structure of the obtained ILs was confirmed by nuclear magnetic resonance 13C NMR, and their base power was determined on the basis of the Hammett function. Slodzes izraisītās kardiorespiratoro parametru disproporcionālās izmaiņas

Darbā tika pētīts, kā slodzes ietekmē mainās kardiorespiratorie parametri un vai tie ir atkarīgi no pētījumā iesaistīto personu sporta veida. Darba mērķis bija izvērtēt slodzes izsauktu kardiorespiratoro funkciju raksturojošo parametru neproporcionālās adaptīvās izmaiņas. Pētījumā piedalījās 20 personas – 9 vīriešu dzimuma basketbolisti, 8 vīriešu dzimuma orientieristi, 3 vīriešu dzimuma volejbolisti. Personas veica veloergometriskas slodzes testu. Olen tutkinut pro gradu –työssäni erisnimien käännöksiä Lucy Maud Montgomeryn Annan nuoruusvuodet –teoksessa. Aineistoni muodostavat teoksen alkuperäinen englanninkielinen versio, 1920-luvulla käännetty suomenkielinen käännös sekä 1960-luvulla tehty uudistettu käännös. Käännetty teksti on aina jonkun kääntäjän tekemä, ja kääntäjän henkilökohtainen historia ja ajatusmaailma vaikuttavat käännöksen muotoutumiseen. Onkin syytä tutkia, millaisia muutoksia teksti ylipäänsä ja erityisesti nimistö kokevat käännösprosessissa. AbstractRealization of Fano resonance in plasmonic oligomers is often exploited to design efficient plasmonic substrates for surface-enhanced coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering. Disk-type Fano-resonant plasmonic oligomers are widely used to enhance the Raman signal of the probe material. The effects of vibration during maximal graded cycling exercise: A pilot study

Whole Body Vibration training is studied and used in different areas, related to sport performance and rehabilitation. However, few studies have investigated the effects of Vibration (Vib) exposure on aerobic performance through the application of this concept to cycling exercise. A specifically designed vibrating cycloergometer, the powerBIKETM, was used to compare the effects of Vib cycling exercise and normal cycling on different physiological parameters during maximal graded exercise test.
