This article aims to analyze the relationship between Antonio Negri and the political and philosophical categories of Antonio Gramsci. It is my intention to resume, from the Sixties of the last century to nowadays, the stragegical uses of Gramsci’s thought by Negri. According to me, we can divide four periods in the theoretical framework of Negri. In the first one, Gramsci is an author incompatible with the workerist strategy of class struggle. In the second one, there is a sort of use of Gramsci against Gramsci. Pointendly, Negri tries to subtract the author of the Prison Notebooks from the prerogatives of the Pci. In questo scritto, verranno interrogati alcuni paragrafi dei Quaderni del carcere di Gramsci relativi alla questione dell’istruzione, mostrandone i nessi con paragrafi dedicati all’industrialismo fordista e alle trasformazioni economico-produttive dei primi decenni del Novecento. Verrà, così, evidenziata la presenza, nei Quaderni, di un isomorfismo lessicale tra discorso sulla scuola e discorso sulla produzione e sulle mutazioni antropologiche consustanziali all’affermazione del fordismo. Per farlo, ci si soffermerà, tra le altre cose, sulla figura della scuola unica/unitaria per la prima volta evocata nel Quaderno 1 e poi approfondita nei Quaderni 4 e 12.

In April 1921 Antonio Gramsci, co-founder of the Italian Communist Party, tried to meet Gabriele D’Annunzio, leader of the irredentist Fiume Endeavour. Though the attempt could apparently seem in contradiction with the internationalist tradition of Marxist ideology, it was perfectly coherent with the dialectical conception of the national problem, formalized by Gramsci in his early works and his Quaderni del carcere.
