The richest superclusters : I Morphology

We study the morphology of the richest superclusters from the catalogues of superclusters of galaxies in the 2dF Galaxy Redshift Survey and compare the morphology of real superclusters with model superclusters in the Millennium Simulation. We use Minkowski functionals and shapefinders to quantify the morphology of superclusters: their sizes, shapes, and clumpiness. We generate empirical models of simple geometry to understand which morphologies correspond to the supercluster shapefinders. We show that rich superclusters have elongated, filamentary shapes with high-density clumps in their core regions. A tool for the multisensory stylus-based exploration of virtual textures was used to investigate how different feedback modalities (static or dynamically deformed images, vibration, sound) affect exploratory gestures. To this end, we ran an experiment where participants had to steer a path with the stylus through a curved corridor on the surface of a graphic tablet/display, and we measured steering time, dispersion of trajectories, and applied force. Analisi e riflessioni sulle ricorrenze del costrutto causativo nell'Orlando Furioso che si rivela tratto saliente della lingua e dell'espressione dell'opera. Il poema di Ariosto pullula naturalmente di attori che, osservati dalla specola del costrutto causativo, si qualificano appunto come né sovrumani né subumani. Attori siffatti ne sono i protagonisti. Le loro vicissitudini costituiscono il tema dell’opera e ne sostanziano la trama. Che il costrutto causativo sia tanto frequente nel Furioso non è dunque un accidente e il dato è a questo punto comprensibile, perché integrato in un sistema. Il costrutto causativo è nel cuore del processo narrativo, ne è un motore.
