Tutkielman tavoitteena oli tarkastella kahta Éric-Emmanuel Schmittin pienoisromaania, Oscar et la dame rose ja L'enfant de Noé, analysoimalla teosten tematiikkaa ja niissä käytettyjä kirjallisia keinoja. Teokset kuuluvat kirjailijan eri uskontoja käsittelevään sarjaan Le cycle de l'invisible. Johdannossa esittelen kirjailijan käsittelemiä aiheita ja teemoja, joita esiintyy myös tutkimissani teoksissa. Niiden tematiikka nousee päähenkilöiden ahdistavasta todellisuudesta: 10-vuotias Oscar sairastaa leukemiaa ja 7-vuotias juutalainen Joseph pakenee natseja. The authors carried out a study in order to apply an interspecific competition model to predict the microflora behaviour of S.Angelo IGP salami during the ripening. They consider 3 bacterial population (Lactic Acid Bacteria, Enterobacteria and Listeria monocytogenes – LAB, Ent and Lmo) using the observed curves obtained in a previous work as validation. The model applied setting to 0 all interaction terms does not fit the observed curves while the introduction of 3 interaction terms (betaLmo/LAB = 0.65; betaEnt/LAB = 0.4; betaLmo/Ent = 0.18) produce a good agreement with the observed behaviour of all populations.

Phase-selective low molecular weight organogelators derived from allylated D-mannose

In the last decades, synthesis and design of low molecular weight organogelators has gained increasing attention due to their versatile use in, for example, cosmetics, biomedicine and oil spill remediation. In this work, three potential gelators have been prepared from allylated d-mannose. Both the gelators and the corresponding gels formed were thoroughly characterized by crystallography, FTIR spectroscopy, SEM, rheometry and NMR spectroscopy, in solution and in solid state. The results showed that two of the compounds phase-selectively form gels with hydrocarbon solvents.
