Femmes lexicographes dans la première moitié du XXe siècle

Alors que, même de nos jours, les auteurs de dictionnaires monolingues et bilingues portant un patronyme féminin sont extrêmement rares, pendant la première moitié du XXe siècle trois femmes publient un dictionnaire en France et en Italie avec plus ou moins de succès. Celui d’Ottavia Cesana (1912) est un dictionnaire de phraséologie, ceux de Faustina De Graziani (1916, 1917, 1958) et de « Mlle L. Marichy » (plusieurs réimpressions de 1940 à 1962) sont des dictionnaires généraux de poche. Il sacrificio di Abramo e il miracolo della fonte nell'arcosolio VII.21 della catacomba di Villagrazia di Carini

I due temi di ispirazione biblica decorano un arcosolio per bambino nella parete orientale della galleria VII. Nella lunetta la scena del sacrificio, alla quale assiste una figura femminile di orante in tunica clavata e con l'acconciatura a turbante tipica del IV secolo. Nel sottarco si conserva solo la figura di Mosè che percuote con la verga la roccia da cui scaturisce l'acqua. I confronti rimandano soprattutto alla decorazione pittorica delle catacombe cristiane di Roma. Le implicazioni dottrinali sottese al tema della salvezza denotano una committenza aggiornata che predilige soggetti meno banali di quelli riscontrabili nei coevi contesti funerari urbani della Sicilia.

The paper reports the results of the archaeological excavations carried out between 2000 and 2007 in the Early Christian cemetery of Villagrazia di Carini. Four periods were recognized in stratigraphy, from late antiquity to the mid-twentieth century. The sepulchral typologies are arcosolia, loculi, "tombe a mensa" and "formae". The cemetery was used by the Christian community of the ancient diocese of Hykkara from the 4th to at least the 7th century A.D.

The archaeological research in the southeastern area of the Early Christian catacombs of Villagrazia di Carini has been ongoing since 2000 to the present, but in 2014 the structural problems occurred during the excavation of the cubicles X13 and X15 have showed that this sector of the cemetery was cut into a tuff stone bench less compact and durable than the rest of the catacomb. Grazia Deledda's literary work has been introduced by the early 20th century Chinese translators mostly through indirect translations. Such process compromised sometimes the integrity of the original linguistic choices, but the selection of contributions from the Chinese periodical press included in this study shows a genuine enthusiasm toward her narrative style and the life of Deledda's Sardinian characters, portrayed as symbolic representation of the universal human psychology.
