Protein stability under changing conditions is of vital importance for the cell and under the control of a fine-tuned network of molecular chaperones. Aging and age-related neurodegenerative diseases are directly associated with enhanced protein instability. Employing C. elegans expressing GFP-tagged luciferase as a reporter for evaluation of protein stability we show that the chaperoning strategy of body wall muscle cells and neurons is significantly different and that both are differently affected by aging. The Green Deal and the CAP: policy implications to adapt farming practices and to preserve the EU's natural resources

The June 2018 CAP proposals are only marginally consistent with the ambitions of the Green Deal. This is also the case of the regulation revisions being adopted by either the Council or the European Parliament in October 2020. Making EU agriculture consistent with the Green Deal but would require a whole food chain policy that encompasses more stringent instruments on the supply side and extensive changes in eating patterns.

The paper presents some researches on using sugar beet for producing bio-ethanol, considering the advantages which this raw material presents compared to other materials from which bio-ethanol can be obtained. One of the reasons of using bio-ethanol for motors as a fuel is the goal to reduce of 20% of greenhouse gases and it is established that the emissions of CO2 are much reduced in the case of bio-ethanol than that of conventional fuels.
