Il progetto di Guarino Guarini per la chiesa dei Padri Somaschi di Messina costituisce uno dei problemi aperti della letteratura storiografica dedicata al celebre architetto modenese. Summary Plants of Sinapis alba were cultivated under high light (60 W m -2 PhAR) and low light (6 W m -2 PhAR) conditions. High light intensity during growth increased the stomatal frequency but there were only small changes in the length of the stomatal pore. High-light leaves had more than twice as many stomata per unit area as low-light leaves. The decrease of stomatal diffusive resistance in high-light leaves is primarily caused by the increase in stomatal density. There were striking changes in stomatal frequency during the ontogeny of primary leaves. High light caused a stronger development of the assimilating mesophyll. Equivalence closure in the two-variable guarded fragment

We consider the satisfiability and finite satisfiability problems for the extension of the two-variable guarded fragment in which an equivalence closure operator can be applied to two distinguished binary predicates. We show that the satisfiability and finite satisfiability problems for this logic are 2-ExpTime-complete. This contrasts with an earlier result that the corresponding problems for the full two-variable logic with equivalence closures of two binary predicates are 2-NExpTime-complete.

According to contemporary historiography, the earliest guard units formed in the fifteenth century, at the same time as mercenary armies. Similar units were created throughout Europe, on the French model. Once the French court was transferred to Versailles, it developed a grandiose ceremonial protocol, which shaped the final form of the royal guard.
