Dichrooscytus gustavi differs from D. rufipennis and D. intermedius primarily by a smaller size of the body and the entirely green scutellum. Its occurrence has been confirmed so far in more than ten European countries, where it was reported to live on Juniperus communis L. and also on different introduced species of Cupressaceae. In this note the first locality of this species in Poland is presented. Moreover, the authors explain a reason why D. valesianus [= at present D. gustavi] was removed from the list of species occurring in Poland (in the 2011’s Catalogue of Miridae of Poland), and suggest a possibility of the presence of D. gustavi in Poland as early as the first half of the …

Lectotypes for the Linnaean names Phillyrea angustifolia, P. media and Fraxinus ornus (Oleaceae), are designated from original material conserved in LINN (Linnaean Herbarium) and BM (George Clifford Herbarium). A specimen at BM is designated here as the second-step lectotype of the name Fraxinus ornus.

Mercury (Hg) is emitted in the atmosphere by anthropogenic and natural sources, these last accounting for one third of the total emissions. Since the pre-industrial age, the atmospheric deposition of mercury have increased notably, while ocean emissions have doubled owing to the re-emission of anthropogenic mercury. Exchange between the atmosphere and ocean plays an important role in cycling and transport of mercury. The essay provides a full overview of the alternate fortune of the cult of St Augustine of Canterbury and other missionaries, who hold a distinctive place in Anglo-Saxon hagiography. The essay takes into examination both literary and liturgical witnesses and both pre- and post-Conquest texts, in Latin and the vernacular. The narrative of the mission and of Augustine himself offered by Bede, although inevitably partial, shaped all the successive representations of the saint in the few literary witnesses dating from the Anglo-Saxon period. The Historia ecclesiastica gentis Anglorum will remain the major source also in post-Conquest England and be largely drawn upon by Goscelin. For its part, …

A través de dichos documentos se estudian los referentes político-culturales y religiosos que manejaron los autores eclesiásticos a la hora de legitimar al nuevo emperador y explicar el proceso que había llevado hasta su coronación.
