Seizure Prediction Using EEG Channel Selection Method

Seizure prediction using intracranial electroencephalogram (iEEG) is still challenging because of complicated signals in spatial and time domains. Feature selection in the spatial domain (i.e., channel selection) has been largely ignored in this field. Hence, in this paper, a novel approach of iEEG channel selection strategy combined with one-dimensional convolutional neural networks (1D-CNN) was presented for seizure prediction. This research deals with the evolution of two of the main ciuitates of the Lugdunensis prima province. It explores their territorial organisation, social and economic structures between the emergence of the Gallic Empire (260 AD) and the end of the kingdom of the Burgundians (530 AD).After tackling the methodological, archeological and historical issues raised by the study of the two ciuitates, it focuses on the city of Autun, on its small neighbouring towns (including Chalon), rural areas and religious practices. Recent applications of simultaneous scalp electroencephalography (EEG) and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) suggest that adapting stimulation to underlying brain states may enhance neuroplastic effects of TMS. It is often assumed that longer-lasting effects of TMS on brain function may be mediated by phasic interactions between TMS pulses and endogenous cortical oscillatory dynamics. Spectrophotometric determination of phthalocyanines Part II. Phthalocyanines stable in concentrated sulfuric acid

Celem pracy było wykazanie możliwości zastosowania spektroskopii VIS do badań ilościowych różnych związków ftalocyjaniny, w szczególności niepodstawionych kompleksów z metalami, które są trwałe w środowisku stężonego kwasu siarkowego(Vl). Zaproponowano prostą metodę, analizy spektrofotometrycznej VIS, stanowiącą kontynuację wcześniej przedstawionej pracy [1], umożliwiając oznaczanie wielu kompleksów ftalocyjaniny z metalami bloku d, Mpc (gdzie M = Cu, Co, Ni, Zn oraz pc (C(32)H(16)N(8)2- = ligand ftalocyjaninowy). Analiza statystyczna wyników uzyskanych w badaniach kontrolnych wykazała, że opisana metoda może być użyteczna zarówno w zastosowaniach przemysłowych jak i badaniach naukowych.

Fotoutlenianie siarki w obecności wybranych diftalocyjanin lantanowców

Zagadnienie odsiarczania jest problemem zarówno w przemyśle jak i w ochronie środowiska naturalnego, gdyż związki siarki stanowią zagrożenie dla organizmów żywych. Podjęto więc badania nad możliwością wykorzystania fotoaktywnych kompleksów ftalocyjaniny jako potencjalnych aktywatorów w procesie utleniania związków siarki. W pracy badano proces fotoutleniania siarki elementarnej w obecności NdPc2 oraz YbPc2 w roztworze DMF. Otrzymane wyniki wskazują, że jedynie kompleks z Yb efektywnie katalizował badaną reakcję, przy mniejszym natężeniu promieniowania UV. Halogen-Bonded Co-Crystals of Aromatic N-oxides : Polydentate Acceptors for Halogen and Hydrogen Bonds

The C-ethyl-2-methylresorcinarene (1) forms 1:1 in-cavity complexes with aromatic N,N′-dioxides, only if each of the aromatic rings has an N−O group. The structurally different C-shaped 2,2′-bipyridine N,N′-dioxide (2,2′-BiPyNO) and the linear rod-shaped 4,4′-bipyridine N,N′-dioxide (4,4′-BiPyNO) both form 1:1 in-cavity complexes with the host resorcinarene in C4v crown and C2v conformations, respectively. In the solid state, the host–guest interactions between the 1,3-bis(4-pyridyl)propane N,N′-dioxide (BiPyPNO) and the host 1 stabilize the unfavorable anti-gauche conformation. The Hamburg/ESO R-process Enhanced Star survey (HERES)

We report on a dedicated effort to identify and study metal-poor stars strongly enhanced in r-process elements ([r/Fe] > 1 dex; hereafter r-II stars), the Hamburg/ESO R-process Enhanced Star survey (HERES). Moderate-resolution (~2A) follow-up spectroscopy has been obtained for metal-poor giant candidates selected from the Hamburg/ESO objective-prism survey (HES) as well as the HK survey to identify sharp-lined stars with [Fe/H] < -2.5dex. For several hundred confirmed metal-poor giants brighter than B~16.5mag (most of them from the HES), ``snapshot'' spectra (R~20,000; S/N~30 per pixel) are being obtained with VLT/UVES, with the main aim of finding the 2-3% r-II stars expected to be a…
