Tausta. Sprinttihiihdon kilpailusuorituksen palautusten aikana, ahtaiden ”varikkotilo-jen” takia, on kuntopyöräilemällä mahdollista tehostaa palautuksen aikaista aerobista aineenvaihduntaa. Tätä menetelmää ei ole aiemmin tutkittu, mutta huippuhiihtäjät ovat kuitenkin käyttäneet sitä käytännössä paljon maailmancupin kilpailuissa sekä arvoki-soissa. Sprinttiviestin vaatimuksissa korostuvat happamuuden sietokyvyn lisäksi aerobi-set ominaisuudet. Lyhyen palautumisajan vuoksi aerobisilla ominaisuuksilla on tärkeä pystyä välttämään liiallista pH:n laskua. Viljelemällä mikroleviä kalojen kiertovesiviljelyn jätevedessä siitä voidaan poistaa ravinteita ja tuottaa niistä biomassaa. Menetelmää voidaan käyttää korvaamaan perinteistä jäteveden käsittelyä ja kehittämään vesiviljelyn kannattavuutta. Osaa liikunnan terveyshyötyjen mekanismeista on vaikeaa tutkia ihmisillä tai koe-eläimillä. Viljeltyjen C2C12 myotuubien sähköpulssistimulaatiolla (EPS, engl. electrical pulse stimulation) voidaan mallintaa lihassupistuksia ja liikuntaa in vitro –olosuhteissa. EPS:n vaikutusta C2C12 myotuubien aineenvaihduntaan ei kuitenkaan tunneta tarkasti. Lisäksi C2C12 myotuubeja viljellään yleensä korkeassa ei-fysiologisessa 25 mM glukoosipitoisuudessa, mikä voi vaikuttaa EPS-vasteisiin. L-proline was used to prepare chiral, tridentate amino acid phenol proligands H2L1—4. These proligands react with vanadium precursors VO(acac)2, VOSO4 ∙ 5 H2O and VO(OPr)3 in methanol to form the corresponding oxidoalkoxidovanadium(V) complexes 1—4. The complexes crystallize from methanol, and are octahedrally coordinated with a general formula [VO(L1—4)(OMe)(MeOH)]. We explored this question by analysing the contribution of osmo- and phagomixotrophic species in boreal lakes and used 13C-labelled materials and compound-specific isotopes to determine biochemical fate of carbon backbone of leaves, lignin–hemicellulose and polystyrene at four-trophic level experiment.
