Challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic and design responses in public space: Towards strategies for resilient post-Covid cities

The Covid-19 pandemic triggered governments and designers to revalue and redesign public spaces. This paper focuses on the various design responses to Covid-19 proposed and implemented in public spaces. In particular, we identify the kinds of challenges that such design responses address and the strategies that they use. We selected 56 design examples, largely collected from internet sources. By analyzing the design examples we identified five Covid-related challenges that were addressed in public space: sustaining amenities, keeping a distance, feeling connected, staying mentally healthy, and expanding health infrastructures. Influenza dei percorsi formativi sulle conoscenze di infezioni da HIV, HBV e HCV nella pratica odontoiatrica

The knowledge and preventive practices toward the risk of infection with HIV, HBV and HCV were evaluated in a sample of 254 dentists and odontostomatologies in Palermo, by answering to an anonymous questionnaire sent by mail. Overall, most of the participants showed a good knowledge of the transmission pattern of blood-borne viruses as well as good practice for personal hygiene (washing of hands, routine use of gloves, etc.). However 80.8% answered to recap needles after use and more than 40% have had at least one needle injury during the last year in their occupational setting. Este trabajo investiga, por primera vez en el caso colombiano, los efectos indirectos de los derrames de la inversión extranjera directa (IED) sobre las exportaciones de las empresas nacionales. A nivel empírico utilizamos una muestra de conveniencia formada por 32 empresas exportadoras, 14 filiales extranjeras y 18 empresas domésticas, las cuales mantuvieron continuidad en cerca de 60% del valor total de la oferta exportable nacional en el periodo de 2007 a 2016. La acumulación de déficits junto con el estallido de la burbuja inmobiliaria terminó por afectar de manera negativa a la contabilidad pública. Šajā darbā tika salīdzinātas divas metodes HBV serdes antigēna veidoto vīrusveidīgo daļiņu (VVD) attīrīšanai no iepakotajām nukleīnskābēm – metode kapsīdu disociācijai ar GuHCl un sārmu hidrolīzes metode. Darbā aprakstīti un analizēti abu attīrīšanas metožu posmi un izdarīti secinājumi par attiecīgo attīrīšanas metožu efektivitāti. Tāpat tika raksturotas ar abām attīrīšanas metodēm iegūtās HBV G genotipa serdes antigēna VVD, nosakot to morfoloģiju (elektronu mikroskopija, dinamiskā gaismas izkliede) un spēju pakot raksturotas funkcionālas nukleīnskābes – CpG oligonukleotīdus, bakteriofāga dsRNS un DTxA mRNS. Analysis of the Economic Research Context after the Outbreak of the Economic Crisis of 2007-2009

In this paper it, we have conducted a factor analysis which implied determining the international research directions that have characterized the period following the outbreak of the crisis in 2007 and 2008-2011. In this research, we used secondary data that were extracted from 342 articles, which were based on 665 individual researches. Following this research, we have identified three main research in the macroeconomic areas which explained 56% of all the analyzed research. Also, the results showed the trends in macroeconomic research after the start of the crisis in 2007.
Regularization Preserving Localization of Close Edges

International audience; In this letter, we address the problem of the influence of neighbor edges and their effect on the edge delocalization while extracting a neighbor contour by a derivative approach. The properties to be fulfilled by the regularization operators to minimize or suppress this side effect are deduced, and the best detectors are pointed out. The study is carried out in 1-D for discrete signal. We show that among the derivative filters, one of them can correctly detect our model edges without being influenced by a neighboring transition, whatever their separation distance is and their respective amplitude is.
