The archaeological excavation undertaken in 2006 by the Institut national de recherches archéologiques preventives (Inrap) at the site “Le Clos des Tourelles” in Hombourg-Budange (Moselle, France) unearthed a Gallo-Roman tilery. It situated close to a medieval site, the initial target of the excavation project. The time span of the Gallo-Roman occupation cannot be stated with accuracy; only its abandonment can be dated to be later than 250 AD. The remains of the tilery are assembling a kiln, drains, a hall, a well, and, among other features, a small building. Sur les 94 sites funéraires antiques recensés en Franche-Comté, vingt et un seulement concernent le Bas-Empire. Malgré la faiblesse du corpus et des données anciennes, la comparaison entre ces quelques sites et ceux du Haut-Empire permet déjà de proposer quelques réflexions quant à l’évolution des rites funéraires. Les offrandes démontrent l’existence de deux rites funéraires assez répandus : le repas destiné au défunt et le dépôt de monnaie. De prime abord, en Franche-Comté, les offrandes funéraires des sépultures à incinération semblent nettement plus variées que celles découvertes dans les inhumations du Bas-Empire. Fault-proneness of open source software: Exploring its relations to internal software quality and maintenance process

The goal of this study is to explore how fault-proneness of open source software (OSS) could be explained in terms of internal quality attributes and maintenance process metrics. We reviewed earlier studies and performed a multiple case study of eight Java-based projects based on data available in the Source Forge repository. Overall, we studied 342 re- leases of those systems. As is usual, software quality was regarded as a set of internal and external quality attributes. Biased graph walks for RDF graph embeddings

Knowledge Graphs have been recognized as a valuable source for background information in many data mining, information retrieval, natural language processing, and knowledge extraction tasks. However, obtaining a suitable feature vector representation from RDF graphs is a challenging task. In this paper, we extend the RDF2Vec approach, which leverages language modeling techniques for unsupervised feature extraction from sequences of entities. Comparing Conservation Value Maps and Mapping Methods in a Rural Landscape in Southern Finland

We tested to what extent conservation value maps are different if the valuation and mapping method is changed. We compared 66 different conservation value and 4 different ecosystem service maps. Using remote sensing and other georeferenced data, we produced 2 different habitat type maps, which were 50 % similar. We valued each mapped habitat type based on rarity corrected potential number of vascular plant species and naturalness using 6 different valuation alternatives. Situational awareness of maritime vessels in ice conditions is important for the operation of supply chains. In the artic sea areas, the ice conditions pose a major challenge for maritime vessels getting stuck in the ice and being significantly delayed in arrival to harbor. Data science and open data provide new opportunities to overcome these challenges. Tutkin kandidaatintutkielmassani tahdosta riippumatonta musiikin kuvittelua eli tuttavallisemmin korvamatoja. Tavoitteenani oli selvittää ihmisten subjektiivisia kokemuksia korvamadoista: kuinka usein niitä koetaan ja miten ne alkavat tai loppuvat. Perehdyin erityisesti myös siihen, että kuinka korvamadot vaikuttavat haastateltaviin sekä millainen musiikki heillä jää päähän soimaan. Toteutin tutkimukseni keräämällä laadullisen aineiston, jota varten haastattelin neljää musiikkia opiskelevaa tai musiikin alalla työskentelevää ihmistä. Keskitymme artikkelissamme nuorten (alle 35-vuotiaiden), taiteilijoina toimivien yrittäjien ja freelancereiden näkemyksiin omasta työstään, työolosuhteistaan ja tuloistaan. Aineistonamme on Kulttuuripolitiikan edistämissäätiön ja Taiteen edistämiskeskuksen keräämä Nuoret taiteentekijät ‑kyselyaineisto vuodelta 2018 (n = 565). Erotimme aineistosta artikkelimme otokseksi yrittäjien ja freelancereiden (n = 209) edellä mainittuja asioita koskevat vastaukset. Käytämme heistä yhteisnimitystä yrittäjätaiteilijat.
