Brønsted and Lewis acid catalyzed conversion of pulp industry waste biomass to levulinic acid

Enormous amounts of fiber sludge are generated annually by the pulp industry as a by-product. As a cellulose-rich material, its current usage, mainly as fuel, is inefficient from a material efficiency point of view. This work studied the utilization of fiber sludge from a Finnish and a Swedish pulp mill as a potential feedstock to produce levulinic acid, a valuable platform chemical. The conversion experiments of fiber sludge to levulinic acid were performed in a microwave reactor with a mixture of H2SO4 and Lewis acid as the catalyst. Tämän artikkelin tavoitteena on laajentaa digitalisaatiosta, datafikaatiosta, automaatiosta ja kasvatuksesta käytävää teoreettista keskustelua. Artikkelissa pohdin sitä, millaisia merkityksiä koulutuksen kiihtyvällä datafikaatiolla ja automaatiolla on opettaja-oppilassuhteille ja ylipäätään käsityksellemme formaalin kasvatuksen olemuksesta. Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on selvittää sitä, millainen osa Business Intelligencellä (BI) nykypäivän muuttuvassa laskentatoimessa ja nimenomaan johdon laskentatoimessa. Tutkimuksessa haetaan vastausta siihen, miten BI:n voidaan olettaa muuttavan johdon laskentatoimen tehtäviä sekä johdon laskentatoimen ammattialaisen työtä. Tutkimuskysymykseen haetaan vastausta analysoimalla viiden BI–alan suurimman palveluntarjoajan markkinointiaineistoa. Hankittua markkinointimateriaalia tutkittiin sisällönanalyysin avulla. Executive remuneration determinants: New evidence from meta-analysis

This meta-analysis takes stock of 121 C.E.O. pay studies published between 1998 and 2018 with the objective of identifying the main drivers of C.E.O. pay from a global perspective and contributing to the agency vs managerial debate on this ground. The meta-results disclose a positive C.E.O. pay–performance correlation (the highest correlation coefficient corresponds to Earnings per share with a 34%) as the agency theory prescribes and the governance policies promote. However, firm size still predominates as the main driver of C.E.O. pay (correlation coefficient is around 44%) according to managerial premises.
