Teaching is recognised as an emotional practice. Studies have highlighted the importance of teachers’ emotional literacy in the development of pupils’ emotional skills, the central position of emotions in teachers’ ways of knowing, and in their professional development. This longitudinal study draws on a dialogic understanding of emotion to present findings from qualitative interviews with teachers. This study aims to provide further understanding in this area by offering a perspective into 7 foreign language teachers’ emotions in relation to their pupils during their first decade in the profession. A series of 4-ethynylaniline gold(I) complexes containing monophosphane (1,3,5-triaza-7-phosphaadamantane (pta; 2), 3,7-diacetyl-1,3,7-triaza-5-phosphabicyclo[3.3.1]nonane (3), and PR3 , with R=naphthyl (4), phenyl (5), and ethyl (6)) and diphosphane (bis(diphenylphosphino)acetylene (dppa; 7), trans-1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethene (dppet; 8), 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane (dppe; 9), and 1,3-bis(diphenylphosphino)propane (dppp; 10)) ligands have been synthesized and their efficiency against tumor cells evaluated. La diffusione delle tecniche a basso attrito (low friction) nell’ambito di terapie ortodontiche per lo spostamento di un dente mediante applicazione di una forza debole (0.5 – 0.7 N) o media (0.7-2.0 N) ha spinto la ricerca del settore odontoiatrico verso lo studio delle forze di attrito nel moto tra archetto ortodontico (archwire) e attacchi ortodontici (brackets). The Role of the Internet in Overcoming Information Barriers: Implications for Exporting SMEs of the East African Community

Small and medium-sized enterprises play a significant role in the East African Community, contributing highly to the national income and employing a significant number of people. Exportation provides a great opportunity for these enterprises to expand their businesses and improve their performance. However, they encounter a number of information- related barriers before and during exportation. Based on literature, this paper identifies these barriers and discusses how the internet could be used to reduce them. Based on the internet, international business and small business literature, the paper provides propositions and develops a model that will be useful for future studies in this area.

Background: La terapia con GH determina iperinsulinemia sia per effetto diretto del GH sulla β-cellula, sia per effetto controregolatorio indiretto. I dati in letteratura sulla valutazione dell’insulino-secrezione durante terapia con GH, basati prevalentemente su indici surrogati derivati da livelli basali o stimolati di insulinemia, sono piuttosto discordanti tra loro e pochissimi studi hanno considerato i livelli di C-peptide, che sia nei soggetti sani che diabetici rappresentano una stima più accurata della funzione β-cellulare rispetto all’insulinemia. Background I dati sugli effetti della terapia sostitutiva con ormone somatotropo (GH) sull’insulino-sensibilità sono variabili e talora discordanti tra loro e per gran parte ricavati dall’utilizzo di indici surrogati basali, come Homa-IR, o derivati dall’OGTT, come ISI Matsuda. Scopo Valutare la variazione dell’insulino-sensibilità in un gruppo di pazienti affetti da deficit di GH (GHD) pediatrico confrontando i suddetti indici con il clamp euglicemico iperinsuliemico.
