The United Nations is the most productive international organization in resolving international world conflicts. The UN uses different techniques and approaches to resolve international conflicts, including mediation. This study analyzes the process of mediation and international conflict management from the point of view of UN efforts in the Western Sahara conflict, which has been ongoing since 1975. Abstract The reactions between [VO(acac)2] (acac– = acetylacetonate) and the tripodal amino bisphenols 6,6′-(((2-morpholinoethyl)azanediyl)bis(methylene))bis(2,4-di-tert-butylphenol) (H2L1) and 6,6′-(((thiophen-2-ylmethyl)azanediyl)bis(methylene))bis(2,4-di-tert-butylphenol) (H2L2) as well as the tetradentate amino phenol 2,2′-((3,5-di-tert-butyl-2-hydroxybenzyl)azanediyl)bis(ethan-1-ol) (H3L3) afford the complexes [VO(L1)(OMe)] (1), [VO(L2)(acac)] (2) and [VO(L3)] (3), correspondingly. The article is an empirical study of the hypothesis put forward in theories of social capital, according to which voluntary associations have a positive e ect on trust in people. The central research question of the article is: are association memberships or active participation related to trust towards people in Finland? Looking at the number of association memberships and association registrations shows that association life has been active in Finland. Rotational coherence imaging and control for CN molecules through time-frequency resolved coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering

Numerical wave packet simulations are performed for studying coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering (CARS) for CN radicals. Electronic coherence is created by femtosecond laser pulses between the X²Σ and B²Σ states. Due to the large energy separation of vibrational states, the wave packets are superpositions of rotational states only. This allows for a specially detailed inspection of the second- and third-order coherences by a two-dimensional imaging approach. We present the time-frequency domain images to illustrate the intra- and intermolecular interferences, and discuss the procedure to rationally control and experimentally detect the interferograms in solid Xe environment. peerReviewed

Synthesis, X-ray Structure, Antimicrobial and Anticancer Activity of a Novel [Ag(ethyl-3-quinolate)2(citrate)] Complex

A novel Ag(I) citrate complex with ethyl-3-quinolate (Et3qu) was synthesized. Its structure was confirmed using X-ray single crystal to be [Ag(Et3qu)2(citrate)]. It crystallized in the Triclinic crystal system and P-1 space group with unit cell parameters of a = 8.6475(2) Å, b = 11.4426(3) Å, c = 15.2256(3) Å, α = 73.636(2)°, β = 79.692(2)° and γ = 86.832(2)°, while the unit cell volume was 1422.19(6) Å3. In the unit cell, there are two [Ag(Et3qu)2(citrate)] molecules and one unit as the asymmetric formula.
