In-beam spectroscopic study of Cf244

The ground-state rotational band of the neutron-deficient californium (Z = 98) isotope 244Cf was identified for the first time and measured up to a tentative spin and parity of I I-pi = 20(+). The observation of the rotational band indicates that the nucleus is deformed. The kinematic and dynamic moments of inertia were deduced from the measured gamma-ray transition energies. The behavior of the dynamic moment of inertia revealed an up-bend due to a possible alignment of coupled nucleons in high-j orbitals starting at a rotational frequency of about (h) over bar (omega) = 0.20 MeV. Synthetic human and ovine corticotropin-releasing hormone (hCRH, oCRH) are commonly used as a diagnostic tool of the hypothalamo-pituitary-adrenal axis. In this paper reports about side effects after various modes of CRH-application are analyzed and compared to our corresponding data of human studies with hCRH and oCRH. Generally, CRH is well tolerated after single administration and interval-application of standard doses, although minor side effects appear sometimes after higher doses (greater than 200 micrograms hCRH, oCRH) of CRH-bolus-injections. Abstract Under a climate change perspective, the genetic make-up of local livestock breeds showing adaptive traits should be explored and preserved as a priority. We used genotype data from the ovine 50 k Illumina BeadChip for assessing breed autozygosity based on runs of homozygosity (ROH) and fine-scale genetic structure and for detecting genomic regions under selection in 63 Tunisian sheep samples. Using a semisynthetic model mixture (MWSE) previously elaborated in physicochemical and gustatory accordance with the cheese WSE (see part 1, Engel et al. J. Agric. We report the electronic structure of two metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) with copper paddle wheel nodes connected by a N2(C2H4)3 (DABCO) ligand with accessible nitrogen lone pairs. The coordination is predicted, from first-principles density functional theory, to enable electronic pathways that could facilitate charge carrier mobility. Calculated frontier crystal orbitals indicate extended electronic communication in DMOF-1, but not in MOF-649. This feature is confirmed by bandstructure calculations and effective masses of the valence band egde. Searching for novel materials and controlling their nanostructuration into electronic devices is a challenging task ahead of chemists and chemical engineers.
