Objetivos: Valorar el estado bucodental en 88 pacientes con cánceres corporales, previo al inicio de su tratamiento quimioterápico. Diseño del estudio: Estudiamos 88 pacientes con cánceres de diferentes localizaciones corporales y los comparamos con un grupo control. Analizamos la placa dental (mediante el índice de Silness y Löe), el estado dental (mediante el índice CAO.D) y el estado periodontal (índice CPI modificado). Purpose Hand grip strength (HGS) is a widely used indicator of overall muscle strength and general health. We computed a polygenic risk score (PRS) for HGS, and examined, whether it predicted muscle strength, functional capacity and disability outcomes. Methods Genome-wide association study summary statistics for HGS from the Pan-UK Biobank was utilized. PRSs were calculated in the Finnish Twin Study on Aging (N = 429 women, 63–76 years). Using the multi-states (MuSt) theory as a framework, the present study focused on the individual (personality) antecedents of psychobiosocial states. Psychobiosocial states comprise emotional subjective experiences and their correlates (cognitive, motivational, volitional, bodily, motor-behavioural, operational, and communicative), that can be functional for performance (helpful) or dysfunctional (harmful).
