Darbs veltīts pirmajam pilnajam A. S. Puškina romāna «Jevgeņijs Oņegins» tulkojumam latviešu valodā, kuru 1929. gadā veicis provinciāls dzejnieks un tulkotājs Herberts Dorbe. Pētījuma mērķis ir atklāt tulkotāja interpretācijas identitāti mākslas, vēsturiskās un kultūras vērtības aspektā. Darbs strukturēts trīs nodaļās. Pirmajā nodaļā ir aprakstītas un analizētas romāna «Jevgeņijs Oņegins» latviešu tulkojumu problēmas, ka arī sniegts kritisko rakstu pārskats par pirmo pilno latviešu tulkojumu. Otrā nodaļa satur H. Effects of mountain grassland maturity stage and grazing management on carotenoids in sward and cow's milk

Carotenoids are involved in the sensorial and nutritional values of dairy products. In grazing systems, both herbage maturity stage and grazing management may affect the amount of carotenoid ingested, thus these factors may affect carotenoid concentrations in milk. Two homogenous plots of mountain grassland (1.4 and 2.0 ha) were grazed during two cycles of growth by 6 dairy cows in mid lactation, in strip (SG) and rotational grazing (RG), respectively. We monitored the changes in carotenoid concentrations in sward and milk, measured by HPLC twice a week. Theoretical and experimental developments in quantum spin liquid in geometrically frustrated magnets: a review

The exotic substances have exotic properties. One class of such substances is geometrically frustrated magnets, where correlated spins reside in the sites of triangular or kagome lattice. In some cases, such magnet would not have long-range magnetic order. Rather, its spins tend to form kind of pairs, called valence bonds. At $$T \rightarrow 0$$ these highly entangled quantum objects condense in the form of a liquid, called quantum spin liquid (QSL). Heavy fermion spin liquid in herbertsmithite

We analyze recent heat capacity measurements in herbertsmithite $\rm ZnCu_3(OH)_6Cl_2$ single crystal samples subjected to strong magnetic fields. We show that the temperature dependence of specific heat $C_{mag}$ formed by quantum spin liquid at different magnetic fields $B$ resembles the electronic heat capacity $C_{el}$ of the HF metal $\rm YbRh_2Si_2$. We demonstrate that the spinon effective mass $M^*_{mag}\propto C_{mag}/T$ exhibits a scaling behavior like that of $C_{el}/T$. We also show that the recent measurements of $C_{mag}$ are compatible with those obtained on powder samples. Universal Behavior of Quantum Spin Liquid and Optical Conductivity in the Insulator Herbertsmithite

We analyze optical conductivity with the goal to demonstrate experimental manifestation of a new state of matter, the so-called fermion condensate. Fermion condensates are realized in quantum spin liquids, exhibiting typical behavior of heavy fermion metals. Measurements of the low-frequency optical conductivity collected on the geometrically frustrated insulator herbertsmithite provide important experimental evidence of the nature of its quantum spin liquid composed of spinons. A simple algorithm to estimate evapotranspiration from DAIS data: Application to the DAISEX campaigns

In this paper, a methodology is presented to estimate evapotranspiration using the surface energy balance model S-SEBI (Simplified Surface Energy Balance Index) and the evaporative fraction. The method is applicable under the assumptions of constant atmospheric conditions and sufficient wet and dry pixels over the image. The model uses remotely sensed parameters such as albedo, MSAVI (Modified Soil Adjusted Vegetation Index) and surface temperature and emissivity images. Graisa Sadarbības principa (SP) ietvaros formulētā pieeja ironiskiem izteikumiem, un metodes tajos ietverto implikatūru atvasināšanai, nav pielietojamas pietiekami plašam ironisku izteikumu lokam, lai būtu dēvējamas par universālām. Kā alternatīva un veiksmīga metode ironisku izteikumu analīzei, tiks piedāvāta Relevances teorijā ietvertā ironisku izteikumu definēšana ar “atbalsojošanas” un “atsvešinātības” jēdzienu palīdzību.
