International audience; A novel hardware accelerator for the High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) intra prediction is presented in this paper in order to reduce the computation complexity within this standard and to accelerate the concerned calculations. We propose a new pipelined structure that we called Processing Element (PE) to execute all angular modes, and we repeat it in five paths that our architecture composed of. We present also another structure to carry out the Planar mode. This architecture supports all intra prediction modes for all prediction unit sizes. International audience; The lossless coding mode of the High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) main profile that bypasses transform, quantization, and in-loop filters is described. Compared to the HEVC non-lossless coding mode, the HEVC lossless coding mode provides perfect fidelity and an average bit-rate reduction of 3.2%–13.2%. It also significantly outperforms the existing lossless compression solutions, such as JPEG2000 and JPEG-LS for images as well as WinRAR for data archiving. Some scholars have suggested that a significant change in homicides and interpersonal violence occurred in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. This new type of violence was characterised by strong feelings between the offender and their victim, and the change was connected to modernisation, changes in power balance between men and women, and individualism. Based on the Court of Appeal documents, we deduced that the murder of one’s spouse, father, or brother were the most prevalent homicides within families in Finland at the time. On an Inequality for Legendre Polynomials

This paper is concerned with the orthogonal polynomials. Upper and lower bounds of Legendre polynomials are obtained. Furthermore, entropies associated with discrete probability distributions is a topic considered in this paper. Bounds of the entropies which improve some previously known results are obtained in terms of inequalities. In order to illustrate the results obtained in this paper and to compare them with other results from the literature some graphs are provided.

Tämän pro gradu -tutkielman pyrkimyksenä oli ymmärtää ja analysoida Pikku Kakkosen nettiä ja erityisesti sen vuorovaikutteisia leikkejä. Pikku Kakkosen nettiä ja sen sisältöjä tarkastellaan kokonaisuutena. Tämän gradun muoto onkin työnäytegradu. Projektin tavoitteena oli tuottaa tietoa siitä, miten uudenlainen verkkoympäristö ja -sisällöt aktivoivat lapsia sekä miten sivuston vuorovaikutuksellisia elementtejä pystyttäisiin kehittämään edelleen. Projektiin sisältyy myös tutkimus lasten osallistumisesta juontajan simuloimaan vuorovaikutuskäyttäytymiseen. Projektin tutkimus toteutettiin havainnoimalla kuutta 3-5-vuotiasta tutkimushenkilöä.
