Gully erosion susceptibility mapping using GIS-based multi-criteria decision analysis techniques

Abstract This research introduces a scientific methodology for gully erosion susceptibility mapping (GESM) that employs geography information system (GIS)-based multi-criteria decision analysis. The model was tested in Semnan Province, Iran, which has an arid and semi-arid climate with high susceptibility to gully erosion. The technique for order of preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) and the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) models were integrated. Objectives To improve the construct validity of self‐reported fatigue by establishing a formal hierarchy of scale items and to determine whether such a hierarchy could be maintained across time (aged 75–80), sex, and nationality. Design Cohort study. Setting Two Nordic urban locations: Jyväskylä, Finland, and Glostrup, Denmark. Participants Baseline (1989/90) consisted of a random sample of citizens of Finland or Denmark born in 1914 (n = 837). Maternal care influences offspring quality and can improve a mother’s inclusive fitness. However, improved fitness may only occur when offspring quality (i.e., offspring birth mass) persists throughout life and enhances survival and/or reproductive success. Frequency Prediction of Functions

Prediction of functions is one of processes considered in inductive inference. There is a "black box" with a given total function f in it. The result of the inductive inference machine F( ) is expected to be f(n+1). Deterministic and probabilistic prediction of functions has been widely studied. Frequency computation is a mechanism used to combine features of deterministic and probabilistic algorithms. Frequency computation has been used for several types of inductive inference, especially, for learning via queries. We study frequency prediction of functions and show that that there exists an interesting hierarchy of predictable classes of functions.
