Bakalaura darba Apzīmētāju virkņu struktūra plašsaziņas līdzekļos mērķis ir noskaidrot, kādi faktori ietekmē apzīmētāju secību prepozicionālā apzīmētāju virknē. Tēmas aktualitāti nosaka tas, ka latviešu valodā apzīmētāju secība ir maz pētīta un faktori, kas nosaka apzīmētāju secību virknē ir apzināti tikai daļēji. Darbs sastāv no ievada, četrām nodaļām, secinājumiem, izmantotās literatūras saraksta, pielikumiem. Pirmajā nodaļā tiek raksturota valoda plašsaziņas līdzekļos. BACKGROUND: In secondary data there are often unstructured free texts. The aim of this study was to validate a text mining system to extract unstructured medical data for research purposes. METHODS: From a radiological department, 1,000 out of 7,102 CT findings were randomly selected. These were manually divided into defined groups by 2 physicians. For automated tagging and reporting, the text analysis software Averbis Extraction Platform (AEP) was used. In this article we examine some effects of language contact in the multilingual province of Trento, where Romance and Germanic varieties have been in contact for centuries. We focus on the syntax of phrasal verbs (e. g. ‘go out’, ‘get away’) in Trentin, a Romance dialect group, in Fassan, a Rhaeto-romance variety, and in Cimbrian, a German(ic) minority language. In particular, we deal with two word order phenomena which might be attributed to contact with the more prestigious or widespread varieties spoken in the area: (i) in some Fassan phrasal verbs we find the order «Verb – XP – Locative element», which resembles the German order; (ii) in Cimbrian various syntactic positions are possible…

The present paper examines the transfer of nomino-adjectival collocations based on the word ‘femme’ (‘woman’) in the literary translation from French into Italian and Polish. The lexical connection analysed in the article can be defined as the habitual juxtaposition of a word with another word (or words) that has a significant frequency in a given language. The research corpus comprises seven Michel Houellebecq’s novels written originally in French and their Italian and Polish versions. Artikkelissa tarkastellaan kielitaidon taitotasoittaista kehittymistä potentiaalisten esiintymien analyysin (Potential Occasion Analysis, Thewissen, 2015) avulla. Kehittymistä analysoidaan tarkkuuden näkökulmasta, ja sitä mitataan kohdekielen muoto- ja käyttökonventioista poikkeavien muotojen määrällä. The article analyses the novel Cesta do pekel written by Václav Vokolek – the Czech prose writer, poet and painter – through the usage of the intersemiotic translation strategies. The plot of the text can be characterized as the contamination of the physically plausible historic world (the construction of the railway in the middle of the 19th century) with the implausible one (the infernal story) according to Lubomír Doležel’s typology. Demonstrating the changes in the arts (the clash of romanticism with realism), the novelist sensitizes the reader to the drastic introversion into nature, as exemplifi ed by the urbanization processes in the north of the Czech Republic.
